Golf Instruction DVD from 1990

Apologies if this is not a good forum for this post. I wasn’t sure of the best place but I thought some instructors here might be able to recognize this DVD. 
 

I remember watching a golf instructional DVD as a kid when I didn’t even play golf, I just watched it for entertainment really. 😂 We didn’t have Netflix back then so you watched what ya had. 
 

I know whatever DVD that was, it had a major influence on me when I did start playing as a teenager and I would be interested in going back and watching it again to see how good or bad the ideas were that brainwashed me early on. 
 

The DVDs had to be from 1989-1993. The pro talked a lot about centripetal or centrifugal force. I really don’t remember much else from it but that was his main talking point and he emphasized swinging the club in a circle a lot and feeling that force. 

Sorry, I know it’s a bit vague but does anyone have any ideas on what this could have been?

Thanks. Was my first thought too 🤣. Was like hold on!  1990 was pre peak of human evolution, we didn’t have any of that crap !

Was the swing up and down circle or around ?  I know that’s a weird question.  Don Trahan did a lot of videos around that time.  ( swing surgeon ).

I don’t remember him having any devices or training aids and I don’t really remember what he looked like other than he was maybe a white 30-40yr male golfer, not heavy set. I know that doesn’t narrow it down much. 🤷

That doesn’t specifically ring a bell but it does sound like something he would have said. I did look up Don Trahan just now on YouTube and he looks shorter and stouter than the pro in question.

Now that I know it was a VHS and not a DVD I think I might have dug up the guy. I’m thinking it might have been Wally Armstrong. It seems he talks a lot about centrifugal force and was putting out a lot of tapes back then.

Yes! This was totally the video. It was Wally Armstrong ‘Maximize Your Game’. 
 

He did have a bunch of training aids. I now remember using that blue sponge with that tether ball thing while I watched the video.

Haha, I still remember the Bob Mann's "Automatic Golf" infomercials sometimes with Lou Holtz!  Never ordered, lol -- I think he was one of those golf is simple if you stay one the left side kind of guys, but he was entertaining.

My dad was all about Sybervision back in the day. I have no idea how much that sucker cost. It was very soothing to watch. 

 

Perhaps that's why I still enjoy watching slo-mo swings on YouTube.

I watched the videos and I still say "I'll take a million like that" every now and then.  Only those who were there get the joke.  I don't remember how I got a hold of a copy of his videos but I did not pay for em...  In the end his ideas did not work at all for me LOL.
