We have teamed up with Cleveland Golf and are looking for five of our members to test out Cleveland's NEW HALO XL Hy-Woods! This unique “best of both worlds” design gives golfers another option at the long end of their bags. Apply now for your chance to be a tester!

About the Cleveland Halo XL Hy-Woods
Want Hybrid control and Fairway Wood distance? Try a Hy-Wood. Its unique design features head sizing and club length between standard Hybrids and Fairway Woods, plus all our latest distance and forgiveness tech. Now, you can ditch your duff-prone Fairway Woods while still maintaining proper gapping at the top of your bag.

Learn more about the Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood here.

How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

1. City, State?
2. Handicap?
3. Current fairway wood?
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better?
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood?

GolfWRX and @Cleveland_Golf will select the testers in about two weeks. This is for good-standing members in the USA only.

1. City, State? - Lima, Ohio
2. Handicap? 5.5
3. Current fairway wood? - Cobra Speedzone Tour
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? - I am normally more of a hybrid guy, but the Speedzone Tour that I have had in my bag for 4+ seasons has been a weapon!
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? - I think that hybrids and fairway woods are both awesome clubs to have in the bag and they are both clubs that I enjoy hitting, so I would be really excited to try the Hy-Wood because it is a combination of both! Thank you for this opportunity!

1. Brandon, MS
2. 0.6
3. Ping G425 Max 3W, Ping G410 3 Hybrid
4. Depends on the day. Typically over hook a hybrid.
5. This is an area of the bag I really struggle with. Sounds like the design features of this club could be the answer. Would love to test it as it sounds like a best of both worlds option for me.

1. City, State? - Cary, NC
2. Handicap? - 20
3. Current fairway wood? - Titleist Ts2 3wood
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? - I tend to use both, but if in the shorter grass the wood is used more often
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? - would like to see what other options are available and how different clubs work for me

2. Handicap? 8.6
3. Current fairway wood? Nike SQ
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? Hybrids
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? As someone who has played the same 3 and 5 woods since 2009 (afraid of change I guess) I am now at the point where I am needing something that will give me forgiveness and after getting fit for new irons this off season and seeing the immediate results with those I can't wait to see what a new fairway would do to help my game.  Thank you for the opportunity to test.

4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? Typically hybrids
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? Would love to try and have a club that plays more like a hybrid, but with a little more distance for when my driver goes sour. I don’t have the confidence in my 3 wood very often

3. Current fairway wood? Ping G430
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? Hybrids
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? I would prefer to get rid of my 5 wood (and possibly 3).  My fairways are great on a near perfect lie, but I’m thinking these would be a good replacement.  As a senior, the speed is dropping making it harder to get strong launch with the HyWood.

Grand Rapids, MI area

9.2

No traditional fairway, Callaway UW

Hybrids, by far

Would love to have something that more closely mimics the performance of a fairway while still playing like a hybrid.

2. Handicap? 0.1
3. Current fairway wood? Callaway Rogue LS 16.5
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? Historically fairway woods, hybrids invite too much of a left miss for me.
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? It seems like a very unique combination of design styles which would suit me well. Looking forward to the chance to test!

  4. i used to avoid fairway woods like the plague, but of late my 5 wood and I have been getting along.
  5. That spot in my bag is a rotation of utility iron, 5 wood, and 3 hybrid.  Some of it is based on the course, but it’s mostly based on what I am hitting better that week.  Maybe the hy-wood takes the best of all 3 for me!

1. City, State? Whales Vag, California
2. Handicap? High (20?)
3. Current fairway wood? Swap between Adams Pro Gold 20* hybrid, Adams Ovation 7w, and Cally UW 19. Mostly just smash 4i...
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? Neither, hahahaha. Kinda go 300 mini straight to 4i which cant be good
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? The UW seemed perfect fit (bad back and walk most rounds so carry a short set to play my best) but was too low launching. Different shaft was better (50g- s flex) but the misses were bad. Replaced with Hybrid which just doesn't add much from the 4i I hit well. Trusty 7w has been in and out of my bag for 20+ years. I occasionally hit sky balls and the lie has to be pretty good for me to be confident. By far my biggest weakness is this spot in my bag. Please help me!!!!

4. Probably hybrids but I’m trying to figure that out!

5. Would love the chance to test the hy-wood since I have a long history of struggling with 3 woods. I have a lot of my bag figured out but the 3w slot is constantly rotating trying to find the best fit.
