4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better?     Definitely hybrids
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood?     I like the idea of the half-wood/half-hybrid. I tried a Callaway UW but I'm looking for something a little more user-friendly.

5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood?  I'm looking for a versatile club to hit out of the rough fairway or into a tight fairway.  I can provide detailed feedback to the WRX community while filling a gap in my bag.  The Gliderail technology is where I am most interested in testing the Halo XL Hy-Wood to provide feedback on the club's versatility.

3. Current fairway wood? Ping G430 3w and 7w
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? Fairway woods, by a good margin
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? This is the spot I tinker with the most in my bag with the possible exception of the putter. Needing a club that I hit consistently for the right distance (ideally 250) that I won't shank or top. Always willing to look for better answer.

5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood?  I have been looking for something exactly like this. A mix between the two to give me more distance and launch than a normal hybrid would.

5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood?  This club seems to fill a gap I struggle with, between my 13.5* FW and my 18* & 22* Hybrids so I would be really intrested to see if this club could replace both my 18* and 22* while helping me on long par 5's and off the tee on a shorter par 4.

4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? - Hybrids on average.
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? - I have a 19* DI, 19* hybrid and 15* 3 wood.  You offer a 17* HALO XL Hy-Wood.  Be interested to see if this would eliminate the 3 wood or fall between one of the 19*s and 3 wood for another option.

5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? I'm very intrigued by the concept of the "tweener" fairway and hybrid. I'd prefer a slightly smaller footprint and shorter length from my fairways for better control, but as a tall golfer who plays everything upright, losing length makes that problem worse. The lie angles on these clubs look like they'd be a great fit for putting me in that space. I was also interested in trying out the similar offering from Maltby/Golfworks. Of all the hybrids I've tried over the years, Cleveland Mashie's were my favorites - I loved the gliderail+ sole and had them at 15.5, 18, 20.5, and 23 lofts at different points - love seeing a similar sole on these.

4. Hybrids, I tend to not be able to elevate my fairway woods
5. I always hit my fairway woods super low and therefore I rarely use them. A high launching fairway wood would be awesome as I have a lot of distance so I do not need to hit a driver all the time.

3. Current fairway wood?

Callaway Paradym 3Hy (no fairway woods at the moment)

4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better?

Fairway woods - hybrids can turn over a little too easily for my control / skills 🙂

5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood?

I need to fix the top end of my bag - I love my 4 iron and my driver, but have yet to find a combination between driver and 4 iron that I am confident pulling out on every shot, and fits my gapping needs. The 4 tops out at 200 carry, so  ~215 and ~230 yard clubs would be ideal but I always end up with huge gaps. If i'm on a tight tee, I'm almost forced into hitting driver because the drop off afterwards is too large. I have heard great things about the distance control and forgiveness on the new Clevelands and would love to put them to the test

3. Current fairway wood? Cobra F8 4w w/ Tour AD IZ-7s
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? It's probably a toss up, but as much as I love my 4w, I likely have slightly more confidence with my hybrid
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? The Hy-Wood's profile inspires confidence at address, which is a major appeal for me. I firmly believe in the Gliderail technology, as it's similar to what Cobra used to implement in their woods, which I currently use and see its value. I like the added forgiveness and consistency due to the larger sweet spot. This is crucial for me, as my current hybrid can produce a significant variance in distance depending on strike quality. If the Hy-Wood can reduce this variance, it would greatly benefit my course management and strategy. I'm particularly intrigued by the counterbalanced weight in the handle and how it may impact performance. The combination of the confidence-inspiring profile, innovative technologies like Gliderail and the counterbalanced weight seem to make the Hy-Wood a real winner on paper. I'm eager to experience it firsthand and see how it performs on the course.

3. Current fairway wood? - 3 wood- Cobra Ltdx. 2H- Callaway Mavrik Pro
4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? - I have much more confidence when hitting a fairway wood, however I like a the little flatter flight the hybrid gives me at that spot in between my 3 wood and longest iron. Always testing and looking for something that gives the best of both worlds.
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? - The design is very intriguing to me, and obviously seems like a good fit for what I look for in that 2h/5w spot.  Have heard great things lately from Srixon/Cleveland, so Id expect them to perform well!

Also, thank you for giving us WRX’ers this opportunity!

5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? The concept seems very appealing to me, I like the idea of blending the hybrid and Fw wood spot in the bag so that I could replace those 2 with a hywood and then add a 3 wood to my bag.

4. Do you typically hit fairway woods or hybrids better? Hybrids by a mile
5. Why do you want to review a Cleveland HALO XL Hy-Wood? Because I’m looking for a club that’s like a 3 wood but that i can actually hit off the deck. I cant hit a 3 wood off the deck to save my life but i hit hybrids really well. I’m in the middle of overhauling my bag and set up so im constantly looking to try out new stuff.
