Qi10 Fairway Woods - Any love?

I don’t feel like there’s much positive chatter going on for the Qi10 fairway woods-mainly the regular and max models. Anyone getting along with and currently gaming these? How about some feedback and comparisons from fitting experiences with this line up?

I haven’t had the opportunity to test these yet but plan to in the next few weeks. From how they look from address and frame the ball is much more appealing to my eye versus my current Paradym fairway woods.

I got fit into the Qi10 core model with Ventus TR Black 8X and it’s absolutely amazing for me.

During the fitting with my 12-15 swings with it, it was the most efficient combo I’ve ever tested, tons of 1.48 smash and 3 or 4 1.49 smash (which I don’t think I’ve ever gotten on 3 wood on a launch monitor)

I went to a TaylorMade fitting event a couple weeks after they released to hit just the fairway woods. I got fit in to a Qi10 Tour 5 wood and Max 7 wood. Overall they were very solid but the numbers didn't surpass my LTDx woods.

Feel off the face was a bit too firm for me as well and unlike everything I've read, I didn't like how the line on top of the face framed the ball. Is it something I could get used to if I had to? Yes. Just not my favorite look.

TaylorMade is golf’s Stepfather. “You hate him but you will respect him.” And that respect comes from the fact that they’ve always made the best fairway woods.

IMO they dont, outside of the Ti series. Callaway has surpassed Taylormade in woods since their Mavrik line.

Callaway replaced TM at the top end of my bag in October. They had to make the stuff look like TM, but the paradym line is phenomenally good. No TM driver for the 1st time since 2009.

I’m currently in a love fest with the Qi10 driver and yet I haven’t even tried the fairway woods. I usually think the TM fairway faces look tall and the ones I have tried seemed better suited off the tee, and I opt for lower profile looks. Has to be great off tee or turf for me.

I’ve had good success with Callaway and Titleist. But the Qi10 driver is so freakin good, I’m going to demo one of the fairways to see how I launch it off the ground.

Welp, your opinion is wrong.

Their choice of club brand is wrong. Male pros are also heavily sponsored by TM. Glad it works for them tho; and I’d also wager they are mostly the ti models and I mentioned.

What pros use means jack to the  average golfer.

Youd impress me more if you posted a top fairway woods in the LPGA. And TM wouldn’t be at the top.

I agree, I tend to prefer the shallow faced look of Ping’s fwy woods. However I know I’m giving up a little pop by not playing TM fwy woods. Top of my equipment testing this spring will be to see if I can find a bit more yardage with my 3wd. So far I’m looking at testing the Qi10, Smoke Max, and Darkspeed X. Another thing that’s always put me off TM fwy woods is that they are so upright. Being able to adjust the Ping flatter has been great for me.

What you use means jack to the average golfer. What the best golfers in the world with the most to gain by playing the best equipment in the world choose to play is absolutely more relevant than what you play.

The average 3 wood swing speed on the LPGA tour is 90 mph and it carries 195 yards. How relevant is that to the average WRXr?

Sorry your feeling are hurt.

I juuuuust ordered a ai Smoke Triple Diamond 3 wood to compliment my driver, but.... I hit the Qi10 core 3 wood a little bit yesterday and that one will be whispering to me for the next few weeks. Very easy to hit and long and pleasing feel. I only hit 3 wood off the tee and want it to draw and prefer deeper faced fairways. This tics all of those boxes and the bigger head size is great for my use. The only thing is that since it's not adjustable, I feel like you need to get lucky with the specs of these unless you are really getting one super custom. If I had a tour truck or a really great custom fitter/builder, I'd think about getting one, but trying to convince myself that ordering one with just a shaft upgrade might not be the best idea. The tour model is great as well, but I was intrigued by the core since Rory and Scottie play it and I am pretty similar to them 😂

No complaints and so far only high praise for my Qi10 Tour 3 and 5 wood. I'm getting great numbers and a nice penetrating ball flight with great height whereas with my old TSi2 4 wood it was spinny and ballooning and short because of that.

I have no glue why everybody is watching out, what tour players are using in their bags… their products are taylormade for them 😉  even if the club looks the same, it will not be, and even if the club is the same, you will not swing it like them…

I personally like TM fairway woods, especially after the season, the time the pro shop is giving me 50% discount. Good products with a taller face that I personally like. If you do not by the Plus version, the shafts are mostly cheap, you need to try them before buy them….
If you want the face shallow, go with PING

Does it make more sense to base equipment decisions on what the best golfers in the world are actually doing or should we take the advice from anonymous posters on a message board?

I Built a ”7-wood” out of the qi10 tour 5-wood.

shorter shaft to 42”, weight far back and added 4g to the toe weight slot makes the tour perform more as an mid spin 7-wood. Very Happy with this build 👍

What a great idea! Does it give you 7 wood distance and is it as easy to hit as a 7 wood?

The Qi10 Max 5fw launches like a 7 wood but has the forgiveness of a 3 wood.

It's a game changer for golfers that struggle to elevate fairwaywoods in general.

I think so, weight back makes the tour a very friendly club. I play smoke ai 16.5 turned down to 15.5, from the deck 255 yards. The tour in this Config is 230 yards for me.
