Always knew I liked you, DT ... then you put Townes at the top and I'm like "Yeah, that DT fella is damn good people."

My favorite photo from Texas ...

At Three Links in Deep Ellum. Masters Sunday last year! I was delighted with how great the 5G was between Amarillo and Dallas.

Townes will always be #1 for me.

That is actually amazing. I'll be following him for sure.

Good story that I would link if I knew how

Went to college where he spent more time partying than playing golf and dropped out

Didn’t play for a year

Started practicing again and entered 6 mini tour events in which he missed all the cuts

Practices after work but hasn’t played competitively in 2 years until qualifying

Thanks to Beyonce and her turgid latest hit, hearing the word Texas at the moment is enough to send a shiver down my spine. As a result in starting this thread I hope not to trigger anyone but cannot promise!

Don’t need any Beyoncés, first a couple of years working in the process industry, meeting a lot of guys from TI, and then working at the Big Telecom Company in my country with subsidiary In Dallas making Scandinavians want to stay there permanently(despite the heat. We generally hate heat) has made my view of that state better than any other US state. Guys like Scheff and Spieth seem pretty typical to me. I could tell a lot of stories on good memories of Texans. Think Scandinavians and Texans mix well.

TPC San Antonio is also one of my favorite courses for TV entertainment, I aint no Pinehurst lover. Good field too, Rory, Hideki, Spieth, Homa, Matthew and our Eslöv prodigy among others. Not Scheff against the bunch as last week.

3 separate win bets. I know the sharp money is top 20s and 10s, but I like the thrill... Lol...

But if Aberg isn't good on Thursday but not completely out of it, I'm definitely gonna bet the improved odds.

No wonder bookies have chauffeur-driven Mercs. A classmate at school was a bookie’s son and the only pupil to arrive in a taxi.

I’ve to go with R Mc even if it’s for sentimental reasons.

I'd just that you're picking the favorite isn't terribly bold, but at this point he's so hit or miss (despite maybe being the best golfer on the planet albeit a head case), I can't say he's any kind of lock.

Ludvig Åberg is second favourite behind Rory with the bookmakers.

That’s your view; not mine. I had no idea of the odds and I believe Rory is longer odds in my eyes than Sheffler and Shaufler ( hope spelling is OK ). I’d expect the first-named to be odds-on.  Good luck with your bets.

Must watch doc for you TX music lovers that have not seen it.  Killer studio session with Southern GA legend Larry Jon Wilson laying down Ohoopee River Bottom Land with a river of soul as well.

Hope Akshay can punch his ticket to Orgusta (as IBF would say) next week.  Feels like he deserves to be there.

Solid start form Ludvig Åberg he's definitely trending (over used for sure) but I see in results/stats.

Bhatia demolishing despite the wind. Needs "Sick Nasty" stamped on every club the way he's moving it from everywhere on the course.

Spieth on yo-yo time with the scorecard as always. Glover cleaned up nicely after a brutal start. Rory with the wild short putt miss but mostly better from 150 and in than he had been. Still some iffy misses off the tee and a little trouble dialing back at times, though.

How does Kuest still not kualify for sponsor's exemptions after all the Mondays he's used to play his way in over the past year? At least he'll manage some kind of temp status if he continues it through a full season this year. Hardest working guy in golf right now.

All the cuts Kuest made last year went away once the season ended.

Gotta start from scratch

How could I forget Lucinda?!?  Perhaps my favorite female artist (other than Joni) for the past decade or so.  She’s from Lake Charles but spent her musical formative years in TX.

I did mention Janis, although I personally never really liked her stuff. Except for the time she sang with Grateful Dead when dating Pigpen.
