Stealth guys...qi10 has the Hotspot

Picked up the standard head. It has that same flat flight, screaming ballspeed shot that the og stealth+ had.

I'll never trust the carbon face. The TM woods are awesome but Im on hard pass mode on the drivers.

Ok, I’ll play. For you 350 yarders, yes, I’d be leary. But JAM01 is an older fellow. Lower swing speed and ball speed, and for me the carbon face helps. Straighter and longer. Not by a ton, but enough and it feels good for these wrists and elbows. Perhaps that my best driver ever was the 2016 M2 makes me nostalgic for TM, or maybe that my first kinda real modern driver was an R510. But, so many good choices this year.

Same spot high and just right of center? OG Stealth+ was a heater there.

Seems to be the same spot. Almost dead center for me. Has that same flat flight that says the distance was speed rather than launch.

Maybe dumb question, but did the hotspot skip the Stealth2?  I was thinking of picking one up, but maybe the OG might be a better choice if the 2 doesn’t have it.

Probably does have it.  The stealth 2 had measurably more spin for most players ( it was also significantly less penalizing on strikes that didn’t find the middle). So while it may have had the hotspot where ball speed kicked up, it spun more giving you less distance compared to og stealth plus.

I didn't see the hotspot with s2+.

Good info, makes me rethink if I want to pick up a Stealth 2 or go with the original Stealth since I don’t want extra spin. Glad I asked.

I’ll add I found stealth 2 plus to be more playable than stealth plus on course.  I picked up a heavier front weight for the stealth 2 plus which brought spin down and retained most of the “forgivness”.

 

stealth plus was a sim and range monster, but I had a tough time on course with it and off the tee is one of the relatively better parts of my game.

I thought stealth2+ was really good. I went 9g/21g weights tho.

 

But qi10 beats it handily. Qi10 may be the best TM driver yet...

Gotta agree with the latter… that qi10 is money. I bought the core in 10° and was a little high launch, sold it for an older driver but I’ll def have to pick up a 9° head at some point. I think it’s one of their best. And tour adoption speaks for itself.

It’s not a hot spot, it’s literally just where the sweet spot is on taylormade clubs.

My miss is low heel.  I don’t think I lose 40 yards with it, maybe more like 20.  Buts it’s ended up in the fairway when I’ve heeled it.  It doesn’t spin out right for me like my ping lst and rogue TD did.

Looks like there is a hot spot there, or maybe that is where the sweet spot actually is like someone else mentioned earlier. 
 

Side note, I’d love to have a chart like that for every driver available!  Might make shopping for new clubs a little easier.

Very interesting club testing tech. 
 

Im one that launches too high and spin is too low, so it’s not a driver for me, but with the ability to test like this, I’m sure this type of test mapping is beneficial in selecting the right head for those that know their misses and needs 👍

It's a really good driver. Very forgiving and fast. 

 

The "worth it" value prop is something only you can answer after you test it.

 

I definitely think it's worth demoing.
