Project X Wedge shaft

Anyone have any knowledge on these shafts? Thinking of getting them in my new Vokeys but wondering what flex as I play IO 6.0 in irons? Was thinking of doing wedge 5.5 but wondering someone's thoughts who has used these? Thanks

I've tested them. They spin a bit more than the OG PX which is how they were designed. I think it's a little softer in the tip. If you want your wedges to spin a ton, then going down a flex would be the way to go. If you struggle with too much spin, then going the same flex would be the way to go.

I play PX 5.5 in my T100's and PX 5.5 Wedge shafts in my three Vokeys. They play true to flex but feel better, flight better and spin more. Touch shots around the greens are incredible and full shots are very stable. One of the best shafts to be released for wedges.

I matched flex with my irons, I only have it in my 60 for now. The iO is a bit lighter though so the 5.5 might match up better in that aspect.

If you're playing 6.0 in irons, I'd suggest PX Wedge 6.0, but 5.5 might fit better weight wise.

I played 6.5 and then PX 6.0 for many years, and recently tested iO 6.0, but we didn't get along. My new T100 irons have MMT 105S, and been playing 120g PX 6.0 wedge shafts in new T100 PW, and 52 & 58 Vokeys for about a month now. They feel great, and perform to expectations.

They’re designed to match the flex in your Px irons. So playing 6.0 in irons, then 6.0 in wedge shaft.

I have 6.0 in my irons. And 6.0 wedge in my 54 and 58.

Yes, that's correct and what they're designed for. They also are 10 cpm softer, so 6.0 Wedge model is similar stiffness to PX 5.0. I used the 6.5 model in a 52 and 58 for a few months last year while using PX 6.5 in my irons. I like it my 58 but not in my 52 which I use as a gap wedge with full swings, so I prefer something more similar to my set shafts.

I think they're great in high lofts 56-60 where you aren't taking full shots. Then for lower loft wedges it just comes down to preference for how they are used.
