I don't know if anybody else caught this, if it's been mentioned, my apologies for repeating.....

 

I just noticed on the Ti 340 Mini Driver, the Serial Number is a RETAIL Serial Number opposed to a Tour Serial Number starting with TC.

340cc. That's a pure tee club. 

The original one was 275cc, which was great as a fairway wood too. Any bigger like the 300 was and it makes it very hard to hit off the turf

 

I only have a mini driver (2 wood) in the lineup, for when I stroll around with half a set. I'll stick with my OO for the dual capabilities.

 

I'd love someone to come out with a 230cc 2 wood. That would be perfect.

I’d drop my 4w in a heart beat for a Callaway mini. A second tee club would be great. I find I rarely use my 4w off the turf.

I actually think you are seeing mini drivers coming out because the guys on tour actually realizing they hit drivers further than they want too now. I also think it is a way for them to test the smaller driver head size because that change could happen easier and sooner than the ball roll back.

Find yourself a Ping Rapture 13* 3 wood. Not that easy to find but they come up for sale time to time.

Also because they hit a fade with driver and can play this as a draw club. Useful for them on tight courses.

So would I, I currently play a Cobra Aerojet 17 degree in place of my 3 wood on most golf courses and its an amazing club especially off the tee but I really like the look of the Cobra Darkspeed hybrid and have been pondering whether to get one, I have hit the OG Callaway Apex UW and quite liked it although it was nowhere near as forgiving as the Cobra Aerojet.

It's coming to Retail just like the max triple driver is coming.  I know someone who's hit it and he said it is hittable off the deck.

 

It will be interesting to see if anyone adopts it on tour as a 3 wood replacement

Not sure on lofts or time to retail.  I think the Triple Max is slated for June now (it was supposed to be out already but they had delays).

Looks great but I wish they would offer a retail version around 15*. The gapping, even at 13.5*, makes this thing useless in terms of gapping on average length golf courses.

May have to get a 13.5 shorted to like 43" and then drop my 4w and either keep my UW as my longest wood or get a 5w. Thanks for sharing.
