Well, after trying out the Aldila ByYou in my backup L4V and snapping the shaft (it was a defective shaft), I wouldn't mind giving the RIP a shot, since the last Aldila shaft I tried is currently doing just that...Resting In Pieces.

 

 

Plus..it looks sick!!

HOLY F*ING $HITBALLS BATMAN!!!! Please! That's all I can say. I am the biggest Aldila fan and supporter on this site! I worship my Voodoo's like it's my religion. I can't even begin to explain how much I want one of these! I have hit every VooDoo under the sun and have good things to say about all of them. The VooDoo has added so much confidence to my swing I have become a better all around golfer with VooDoo shafts. I will review the R.I.P. extensively, comparing it to other Aldila products and other major shafts I have tried. The R.I.P. will stay in my driver, no question about it. I will not sell it. I can play anything in the 65-80g range in my driver, if it turns out to be too heavy, stout, or low launching for the driver, it will make its into the 3 wood. Double review in that case! I have a high ball flight, flat, but high. The R.I.P. was designed for me....Aldila just didn't know that at the time. The VooDoo is good, the R.I.P. will be better!

 

Recently in a trip to Palm Springs I launched a rocket 360yards, 30 yards past the longest hitter I know that I was playing with at the time. Aldila is the real deal. You will hear other tour reps say Aldila is a marketing company, not an innovation company. I disagree. Aldila has consistently made excellent products that fit a wide range of golf swings. Everyone has played a NV at some point, probably a VS Proto. The VooDoo's are hugely successful on tour and in retail offerings. I want to be the first to try the next generation shaft! Maybe a shaft designed for the better players, not everyone. Like the new Cinnamon with updated technology that doesn't require insanely expensive aerospace material. I think Aldila will have a cult classic on their hands with this shaft. The matte black finish with the rumored playing characteristics together is going to be stealthy.
