So Scotty Cameron invented the honeycomb milling too?

I knew he developed the Anser-style that Karsten Solheim stole from him but i didn't realize Bob Bettinardi was a thief too! UNREAL!!!!

And yes, I really don't GAF or a S!!

Nope. Bettinardi invented the honeycomb milling. Remember, at the time Bettinardi was doing ALL the milling for Cameron. Bettinardi probably did some experimenting with the milling machine, thus the honeycomb face on a Cameron head.

Or so I've read.... ;)

Here’s what I know to be a fact….My Asian business partner, wire transferred $40,000.00 cash to one of our bank accounts. The seller of the mini in question (a personal friend also)wanted $45,000.00 and my partner wanted to only pay $40,000.00….The seller didn’t need to sell at 40k and the buyer wouldn’t budge end of story….To the people who state that $40,000.00 is ridicules, for people who have unlimited funds….It’s no big thing…..Bluto

I believe I read that Scotty never approved this, therefore it does not exist.

Afterall, if we've learned one thing from this thread, it's that if Scotty didn't authorize it, it must not be real. Afterall, stamping 1/5 on a putter makes it obvious that only 5 exist. Scotty would never misstamp a putter, would he?

Did Scotty authorize discussion in this thread?

Chris, here's what I don't understand about that scenario. If the potential buyer has "unlimited funds" and really wants a collectible like a Classic Mini, then why let the deal pass him by for $5,000? I guess if I had unlimited funds and wanted something this rare (whether 1/5, 1/8, or whatever), I'd pony up the extra $5,000. You never know when you might have the opportunity again to purchase one.

Rumor mill was that Michael Jackson owned the fabled 6th, 7th, and 8th Classic Mini. He was going to put them on the market, thereby discrediting Scotty's claim of 5. Well, you know what they did to him:

There's always 3 sides to every story!

1. Scotty's

2. Bob's

3. The Cold Hard Truth

Actually when Scotty and Bob parted ways in the late 1990's Scotty decided to sue Bob. As part of the litigation settlement Scotty wanted Bob to agree to never divulge or discuss any of their business dealings. Bob refused to these terms and he negotiated the agreement to read that he would not discuss any of their business dealings unless what he was saying was the truth. I do not thing the same terms applied to Scotty.

It has never been a problem for Bob to uphold his end of the agreement. So I guess there would only be :

1) Scotty's version

2) The truth told by Bob.

So I guess a reunion for Scotty and Bob isn't going to happen...

If the person in question had unlimited funds and was willing to part with 40 g's for a putter what is 5 g's more? Seems weird that he or she wouldn't spend the extra money to buy it.

I think you guys are hillarious! The whole Scotty Cameron thing is like a ponzi scheme. Eventually, a computer will be hacked, and all the info will spill out. I hate to say it, but is very obvious, unless you're an ostrich and have your head buried in the sand, that Cameron's are so overvalued that it is unbelievable. Even the off the rack models, probably made in sweat shops for $10 each. Yet we drool for the next release of his Ping copy....ie. KOMBI.

False, made in the USA, see the 3 Kombi videos on the right. Oops, it's from Scotty, must be a lie.

So, by naming John, are you giving creedance to the fact that he knows a thing or two about Camerons? Therefore, to the people that were asking him to back up his claims, aren't you giving credibility to his statements?

1) This thread has been GREAT to read. Honestly!

2) I would give my left n*t, possibly both n*ts for that Scotty with the honeycomb...OMFG drooooooooooooooooooooool

It has gotten even better over the last 1/2 hour....now the posts are just fishing for anything to escalate the fight.

BTW - nice avatar.

To everyone else.....my apologies. All I wanted was to compare the 3/4 betti to the mini. A thread was started to show the pic and it could not be left alone....just like most of the cameron posts that show up on here.

Stage - thanks for taking this to a whole new level.

+1

If "foregasim" is John Rondoxxxo, then he has INSTANT credibility. Very few have been as involved in the "Cameron World" as John once was, and very few had the collection of putters, grips and other accessories he had.

Scotty is both a marketing genious and master manipulator. Most extremely successful business men step on alot of people along the way, sounds like Scotty is no different. I've been thinking about this already before reading this thread. I will never buy another Scotty again, for a variety of reasons, this pushed me personally over the edge. I can't wait until that Nike, Gillette and Gatorade dude starts using his Nike flatstick. That will be the begining of the end.

You know what I'm done being a club ho as well, always Indian not the arrow. If you can putt or hit a driver it doesn't matter if they are from wal mart for $30 each or from a big OEM for $300+. Great thread, this is putting the club business into perspective for me. Actually they can all kiss my a**, I'm going to buy some scrap metal, cut down a tree (persimon baby) and find an old tire (grips) and make my own sticks. :blind:

Foregasim posted facts then was asked to back them up which he did. So are you calling him a liar or is everything Foregasim posted just his opinion ?
