Kebo Valley in Bar Harbor Me built in 1888, its one of the oldest in the country. Today it still remains a true test that all the technology in golf can still not over come. Its a must play if ever in Maine.

Don't get to play many "great" ones, but best I've played are Torrey Pines South and Ko'Olau. Ko'Olau has great scenery in the mountains of Oahu.

Played Turtle Bay as well, thought it was HIGHLY overrated.

Amazing views, f-ing whales breaching in the backdrops. Just an adventure. Can't wait to go back.

For me there have been a few tracks that really transcended the average golf experience.

Baltusrol, NJ Both courses were amazing. From a Historical / Sentimental perspective this has been my favorite. My Birdie on the par 3 #4 was someting I will always remember.

Desert Mountain, AZ played the Apache and Renegade
Kapalua, HI. Breath taking views

There have been a few others but, these really jump out.

I would go for Valderrama. For such a short course it was damn difficult. So many tight tee shots and tricky dog legs which made it such a challenge. I played it a couple of weeks before the Volvo Masters and it was in fantastic condition. The greens were fast and true. The day was made even better by the fact I played with my Dad; perfect father-son day out.

Aside from the courses at Turning Stone and some no-name courses in the metro section, I don't travel much to play golf. Kaluhyat is probably my favorite that I have played, I think RTJ Jr hates golfers.

Best? Or favorite? It's surely not the best, but this is probably my favorite so far.

Jeez.... LInks? I think there's more bunkers in that picture than there is on the whole of a links course.

 

FTR. Most definitely Carnoustie Championship. Then Kingsbarn, Leven Links, National in Turkey, Crail, Ladybank, Blairgowrie.

Noticeable mention to Boat of Garten, an absolute hidden gem in fantastic surroundings.

 

Muirfield could possibly knock Carnoustie off the top if i 'get it', if i ever play it.
