Man, they are just killing you on that thing. I was at Miles of Golf last weekend to get my clubs re-gripped, and they had several 910s with various lofts. Not sure which shaft you ordered, but I thought you said it was one of the stock offerings in a stiff. I could have probably bought one and shipped it to you faster than what you're dealing with.

Edit: Wait, couldn't they just switch the head? The shaft is interchangeable like the R9 series, isn't it?

Bill, I just bought a 9.5 degree D3 with RIP shaft. Couldn't resist.....plus Golfsmith already has them on sale in the "used section". I'm too cheap to buy new (at least with drivers....putters are a different story ).

Wonder if this was the one you sent back!! LOL

probably cold and 42 high that feels like 35. I will golf as long as the course is still open. Hoping to December!!

LOL. That will be a beast to hit IMO. That D3 is very very low spin. I loved the RIP in D2 9.5 but it was too low in the D3 head. I went for the old man configuration. 10.5 D3 with kai'li Stiff. I'm a putter ho too! Happy turkey day!

Yeah, my G15 with regular flex Serrano is running scared. I'll probably reshaft it, but I couldn't pass up the deal.

Taught at the Northport Point Club all summer, but I got to play Crystal Downs 4 times and also played Battle Creek CC during the Michigan PGA Assistants Championship. All I can say is that Crystal Downs is likely the most underrated golf course in the United States.

Got my D3 today! Didn't think it was supposed to ship until Monday (just ordered it Wednesday). Best part is that it came with the headcover and tool kit. It's the only thing helping to take the edge off the UM-OSU game for me (brutal).

Funny story for you Sparties....when I was still in school (99-00 season I think, Brady was our QB...kinda stunk too, but that's another story), UM went to the Orange bowl to play Alabama. That same year MSU was playing in the Florida Citrus bowl in Orlando. My girlfriend and I drove from A2 down to Orlando to spend a few days, before continuing our trip to Miami. We stayed at a nice hotel in Orlando (the Peabody), because little did she know, but I was going to propose on New Years Eve. So that goes fine and all, she said yes, and we're still together. But now the best part....

We get all our Michigan gear on, and roll out to the elevators on the morning of Jan. 1. We had a 4 hour drive to Miami, as UM played that night (back when the major bowls were actually played on New Years day). When we get in the elevator, there were two MSU players in suits who had the most puzzled looks on their faces....as though they were trying to figure out if someone tricked them and they were staying at the wrong hotel.

So, by choosing to stay at the nice hotel, we inadvertently put ourselves up at the MSU hotel. I felt like singing Hail to the Victors in the lobby, but didn't want to rain on the parade...

Yeah, the only thing that saved us was an elderly couple who got on the elevator at the next stop down. The lady noticed that one of the player's lapels was folded weird. She then proceeded to "mom" him by fixing that up, straightening his tie, etc. Saved by a grandma, or maybe a guardian angel, who knows.

I think State won that game, IIRC. Michigan won in overtime on Alabama's missed extra point.

If I remember that year correctly, it was when Saban quit to take the LSU job, and MSU played Florida in the bowl game. Bobby Williams was the interim coach, and State won, which led to us being subjected to three years of that debacle (followed by 4 of John L). I'm glad they finally got one right with Dantonio.
