Hating Michigan golf right about now....shot my best ever round yesterday, including my first ever under par nine hole score (40/35). And now the season is just about over, ready for the rust to start collecting....grrr...

Any suggestions, other than moving?

Lift some weights doing higher reps and lighter weights and focus on the core muscles - back and legs.

I'm playing great right now as well and I'm depressed as hell the season is almost over. I just ordered a couple of mizzy hi flis 2 and 3 and I probably won't have time to use them.

My game is a mess right now. Most years, I play my best golf in the fall as the season is winding down, but I'm completely hopeless right now. My swing is so jacked up, I have absolutely no idea where it's going off the tee right now. Playing yesterday, I was ready to put the clubs in the basement for the rest of the year, I'm so frustrated.

Once the season is over, I'm going to really start a fitness program (maybe P90X?) and try to put myself in a position to play better in the spring.

I haven't heard much mention of the best golf experience in the state and maybe in the country. Dunes club holds a very special place in my heart. No tee markers. Impossible to find. Best logo. Changing the pins between 9s. There is nothing like Dunes Club. It is a religous experience. Every fall we make a golf trip up the west coast of Michigan. Unfortanatly most of the great tracks are private. Her are some pics from our recent trip.

Number 8- Unreal par 5. Pic doesn't do it justice. The hole dog legs left and raises up about 40 feet to a tiny green. The Dikembe Mutumbo tree will swat balls away if you try to cut off too much with your second shot.

Barton Hills today, tasty! Could play it everyday. Loved the greens, fast, true, tricky, but not tricked up. A great club.

I guess you do love mIchigan golf..... the dunes club.....crystal downs..... the problem for you now is......you have no where to go but down after playing those gems.....

Wish I could -- just came in to post that I can't play on Saturday -- forgot about a prior obligation. If Sunday would work, I could probably do that, but Saturday is a no go for me.

Bill I haven't purchased much this year. It's killing me. Just called discount dans to order a fresh set of Ap2s and Vokeys for next year. Having shinny clubs is always nice to start a new season.

If you have to drop her at Somerset, you should definitely get a pass to go to Carls. There's also a Golfsmith on Rochester and Big Beaver (3 miles directly east, next to a Nordstrom Rack, FYI).

Would love a second crack at Shepherds this year. Too bad i'm stuck going to Frankenmuth for chicken and beer.

I done the drop her off at somerset, go to carls / golfsmith a million times. There is actually a golf smith just down big beaver road prob 2 miles east of the mall. Not sure what's happening sat. I have one last day to break par at my home course this year...... (Sat should be nice).

I think I am the only one that hasn't played Shepard's Hollow. its on my list for next year. I would like to play sunday...tiger you want 36 holes?? What would be a good halfway point to meet. Mike your welcome to join us too. Eagle Eye would be awesome...

Kevin, I don't think you will like the 910 fairway woods..but you will buy the driver..I already did. Its shipped Nov 17th. I get the first one. LOL.

Have you ever played Hawk Hollow? They run a 36 hole special where you can play Eagle Eye and Hawk Hollow in the same day for 90 bucks. I could be wrong, but I think I've played 36 at Eagle Eye as part of that deal, so I don't know if that was something different or if they'll let you do that if you want. EDIT: Just looked closer, and it's $50 to replay EE.-- that's really terrible because it's the same replay rate as in the summer.

Eagle Eye kicks my arse every time. The last 3 times I played it, I haven't shot better than 86. If the wind is up, it's a beast, and it's always up when I play there.

played the GAM tournament of champions there are couple years ago. Shot 78 from tips and was happy with that. We played it in rain and 30 mph wins. 17 was a beast that day. $90 is steep this time of year!
