Funny that coordinating shoes, belt, and hat is on here when there are quite a few pros that don't do it.

In my defense, who hasn't tried to hit a draw and or cut and done the exact opposite. I just figure it's common golf lingo to use the phrase double cross....

Also, i hate being constricted in my shirt even on putting strokes, so i don't feel bad for hitching up my shirt.

Wow...only one for me - #20. I can confirm, as the latest example of this is fresh in my mind! Playing yesterday with my ex-gf (an entirely different story altogether), I let out an audible groan after a perfectly struck PW ended up pin high, but about 30' left of the hole.

Of course, the biggest jerk I know would've scored an eight on this fun, made-up test. So let's automatically label everyone who happens to have a few quirks as a gigantic a-hole...especially those ones that coordinate their clothing and are angry with themselves after a chunk that trickles onto the front edge of the green.

I have to believe that everyone who has ever played golf has done this. Even if it wasn't a well struck shot, hit one a little on the toe, groan, watch it some how still hit the green. We all have done it! Haven't we?

3. Its more of a warning to others that there is a great probability of me screwing up so pay attention.

5. Why is this a tour poser move? I do it to speed up play.

12. I alway lose small ball marks in my pocket so I use a chip from the Sahara, its much easier to grab quickly. Its also from my first trip to Vegas when I won a bunch of money.

14. I'm not a shorts guy, I think lightweight pants keep you cooler than shorts. Plus my legs resemble a chicken.

I think there should be better questions like, do you take your hat off on the 18th green when you shake hands or are you banging several hostess's on the side?

I scored 7. Like others have said, I am not ashamed at all.

What strikes me as funny are the journalists who wrote this...guys with absolutely no game at all trying to make it seem like I am some gigantic d-bag because I care about my game and how I look. If I can't tee it up with them, oh well, I won't spend 5 1/2 hours looking for balls in the woods or be trapped in a group with a dude that has on black shoes, white socks and a Hawaiian shirt and thinks that any hint of caring about golf, how he looks or the golf course is completely stupid.

Yes, I like to look good when I play....not over the top, but coordinating colors is just a bare minimum of trying to look decent.

Yes, I have gotten double crossed and have tried to shape a shot. I care about my game and score....sue me.

Yes, When the pin is in the very back of the green and I chunk one to the front and have a 95 foot putt, I may not be happy, again, not over the top but I will still not be just peachy with it.

Guys like the guy who wrote this article can suck at golf and dress like a idiot all they want. Doesn't matter to me. They are the ones that are the buffoons by trying so hard to NOT be a poser.

No worries, at my age I am like Popeye - I am what I am... Adversary... not on your worst day. Most people would be surprised at what goes into the lengthy training to create someone in RL like Arnold portrayed. Anyways, we both know movie magic helped him hold that weasel character over the edge with one arm, so you don' have to think my comment was serious. Now back on topic...

I say pose on because posers give me such joy and laughs when on the course. The upside and downside to posers are companies making "tour" equipment for the poser market. The upside; posers drive golf companies to make tour equipment which generally benefits all of us low spin desiring low cappers. The downside; golf companies realizing the poser can't hit the heavy low spin driver and thus calling it "tour" when really it is not because poser can't hit "tour" but poser is a big market segment and they want to sell him clubs, so "tour" becomes just another marketing gimmick and low capper gets a high spin stick.

I don't see anything wrong w/ posers, seems like it helps them enjoy golf a bit more.
