In my defence, the trouser thing has more to do with the shape of my legs and kneecaps and the[i] long socks must be worn with shorts[/i] rule at my club than willful posing, and I wasn't aware that bog standard split hem trousers were classed as Tour Pro Wannabe tackle.

The thing that struck me about the article was how it was almost bashing its own readership. Half the stuff in that list they write about and promote themselves. From a business standpoint, I thought it was a foolish thing to do. You might think that having your name on a staff bag is a poser thing to do but I'm sure your advertisers love that people buy staff bags and stitch their names on the side.

I know it's supposed to be taken with a grain of salt and a lot of the attributes are ridiculous to do, but coordinating your belt, lead tape, slacks with slits and staff bags play into the things they cover.

I've done #5 a bunch, mainly because I grab a few clubs and walk up to my ball from the cart while my playing partner plays his shot. I'm also guilty of #9, I put lead tape on the 64 wedge because it's too light. That's the only club in the bag that's ever had lead tape on it.

#14 (long pants), but only when it is required. Otherwise, I'd wear shorts in just about any weather.

And with regard to #4 (name on something other than bag tag/shaft label), while I don't (yet), I would consider it if I kept my clubs in bag storage at my course.

4- I have a custom putter with my name on the sole.

20- The greens at my home course are big, undulating and fast. Putting from the wrong side of the greens may mean your next shot will be off the green. One day i had a 15 foot putt straight uphill that i left inches short and it rolled 3 feet back to me.

Defo not but our club has a few top class faux pros! Head to foot in Lindeberg, icon shoes, bag full of this years kit, stupid alignment poles and my pet hate those seriously gay looking white belts with every colour trouser. White belt with navy or black is seriously awful look. And not one of them is a top class player..all the gear, no idea as we say in England!

I'm guilty for numbers 2, 5, 7 and 17... but I sometimes wear trousers when it's warm, but they're always my white Ralph Lauren trousers. I'm guilty of something that's not even on the list which surprises me, I am the owner of lots of tour issue Titeist tees lol.

Btw, I only play the comp tees (when I play on my own I must add) because it improves my game, I don't do it to pose.

5, which I think is harmless and normal if you're in between clubs or just sizing up the yardage, 19, if I'm wearing long sleeves, and 23, which I thought was okay as long as you do it quick and not make anyone wait.

I didn't think 9 and 20 were a big deal either... what do I know I guess....

I'm SAFE 3,8,10,18 and 20
I always tell my buddies how i am going to shape this one around that tree or draw it into the bank on the high side of the fairway and i usually do the opposite so maybe i need to shut up lol.

And i cant wear my sunglasses cause they cause me to lose track of the ball at the top of my swing but,i leave em on my hat just in case.

I always blurt out my swing fault after a bad one although most of the time i dont really know what i did wrong,(i must sound like a moron, lol).

I do have a leather Wilson Staff bag its not going anywhere though,(cause it looks badarse).

And for some reason i get mad at myself if i hit a GIR and im not sittin within a foot,(i dont know why cause i am lucky to be on the green at all).

I have to say i was going to get my name embroidered on my bag in the next few weeks.But i aint gonna do that now LOL.

If I were playing a casual round with anyone scoring a 3 or above, I would relentlessly be busting their balls.
Some of the biggest d-bags that I have ever met would score a 7-10 on this list. I can't imagine the people who scored higher.

Number 20 is probably the stupidest example of being a "poser" I've ever heard of. Any good player, when under 100 yards, is going to be disappointed if they are 25+ feet away from the hole on their putt. Maybe a 25+ handicapper would be happy hitting the green(and even they might not), but I think a consensus of better players would want their decent shots to be under 25 feet if they are on <100 yards out.
