I hear you, just got some mint J33cb and afraid to use because the are great looking. In the past I have just wrapped a towel through the heads when walking and when the are in my car. They are tools and will get banged up just adds character.

Bennington quiet organizer or bag boy revolver. Either of these should solve your problems. IMO saw a bennington in person and it was simply the sickest looking, most awesome system for a bag ive ever seen. The bag boy looks like it will break pretty easily especcially if you play a ton. Search around on the quiet organizer and you can find a 2009 or 2010 model for a few bucks less than the 11 model and they look the same. They even have a stand bag which ive never seen in person but looks awesome on the site. Me unfortunately I bought a taylormade supreme hybrid bag just last year so am not in the market for a bag, but if i was i would have the bennington

bag chatter? it is a natural and normal part of the forged blade's life cycle..

what? you wanna put mittens on them and have the other clubs on the course laugh at them?

what is wrong with you?

Yeah, I understand. I just got Mizuno MP-68's in Nov. and as much as I hated to do it, I got headcovers for them to try and keep them looking new for as long as possible. ZERO BAG CHATTER! After each shot I suggest that after each shot if you do clean your clubs with a wet towel be sure and dry them thoroughly before replacing the headcover. Also at the end of the round take the clubs out of the bag and store them without the headcovers. This will prevent moisture build up. Good luck :miz::smilie_tm:

I ended-up starting to experiment with a wrapping/weaving towel between mine too... Found that a nice piece of that "polar fleece" works very well.... Trying to find a way to make it more permanent in my bag.... It kind of looks good (as you can buy in a variety of patterns and colors)... I bought 3 yards in black/yellow to match my bag

My new forged mizzy irons are starting to show bag chatter after 8 rounds of golf. Is there anyone who has any advice on a type of bag to reduce this? I know they make iron covers but I'm just not fond of them.

Bennington Quiet Organizer. I had one for about six years and used it for hundreds and hundreds of rounds, both on a riding cart and walking with both push and pull carts. It works great... absolutely no chatter. No clubhead-to-clubhead contact. I have forged MacGregor MacTec M685s that still look great after 4-5 years. By the way, I also used to own a Clubmaxx Brisbane bag. I strongly prefer the Bennington. Highly recommended.

A bag with a 14 way divider is the most effective way to REDUCE bag chatter.
I'm curious about this statement

With a 14 way top, the clubs are separated from one another so they have more space to gather momentum and smack into one another, whereas with (at least some) fewer dividers it's possible for a group of clubs to stay close together and hit as much. The mizuno kabuki operates this way as an example.

I keep my clubs in my car 99.9% of the time. My forged clubs are four years old, still look nice and I play 2-3 times per week. Some people get carried away with keeping their clubs pretty... Ideally, that's great, but clubs are tools designed to dig in the ground, so keeping them from collecting wear marks is near impossible. I do however, keep chatter to a minimum by keeping the stand bag rain cover on at all times. The only time the rain cover is taken off is during play.

That's definitely a good point. With them all being separated, I notice they sort of all move in unison when using my clicgear. They do hit each other, but usually both heads are moving in the same direction. I think when they are right next to each other, there are numerous small hits that add up over time.

I have no scientific evidence though, so my statement could certainly be wrong.

i can understand why people would want to reduce chatter, especially with a beautiful set of new clubs, but you did buy them to swing them as fast as you can at the ground. if chatter is going to bother you, i can't imagine how you feel about all the rocks and pebbles in the dirt that you're hitting into.
Use is one thing. Chatter is something else altogether. Needless wear and tear on the sticks. In my opinion of course.

That's what I do as well. I have 14 rounds on my newest set and you can't see a thing.
