WHOA! Nunchuk is the REAL DEAL

I am a big time skeptic, so spending over 200 bucks on a shaft that makes some serious claims with some fancy technology is a BIG leap for me. I have never, ever, purchased any sort of training tool or something new and improved that has a high probability of being a gimmick.

The positive feedback here was just barely enough for me to cross that line for the first time. Knowing I could turn around and sell it off was also a big safety net for me.

Being the pessimistic skeptic that I am, I found myself oddly excited to use this thing. When I took it out of the shipping tube and held it in my right hand, with my stock shaft in my left I thought WOW, this thing really is heavy. I didn't think there would be a big noticeable difference, but there is. Once screwed into my R9 I felt like I was holding a baseball bat, seriously.

I made it to the range, hit 20-30 wedge/iron shots and then went to the Chukka, as I will now call it. Now, I had read here and other places that this shaft takes some getting used to. The weight definitely alters your timing and that is to be expected. I started off hitting pulls 4 feet off of the ground. After working the kinks out and getting in a groove with some of the things I am working on with my swing...this...thing...straight...mashes. period.

Now, it could very well be a result of the swing tinkering I am working on, but I was hitting this shaft at least 10 yards longer than my stock Motore, and that is a very safe estimate. I think it's entirely reasonable to think that number was around 20 yards. The fades and slices that are a direct result of my swing faults instantly became manageable. Balls that would normally be way right of my imaginary fairway were hitting the right side of the fairway or right rough. Almost every shot had a devastating and boring trajectory. I couldn't believe it. This is the first setup I have used where I felt 100% in control.

I am so thrilled with this shaft that I am going to start saving for two more to complete my wood/hybrid. I don't know what people are experiencing with it that would make them sell. This skeptic has been sold!

A heavier shaft is usually more stable and accurate than a lighter one hence why, I can see why the Nunchuck is giving you better dispersion . Although these days, the light weight shafts have become surprisingly more stable. It seems to be working for you and Vegas.

Ive been waiting for a real review!! What makes it so great do you think and how was the ballflight compared to the motore??
It was stiff enough for me, yet very very smooth and in control. It feels boardy, but a board I can manipulate and bend anyway I want. There really isn't a great way to describe the feeling.

As for ball flight, well the Motore I have is only a stiff, but the trajectory with the chukka is literally perfect and very very consistent. To get the Motore to have great trajectory I had to hit it absolutely perfectly with a perfect swing. The chukka makes mistakes playable and trajectory largely stays the same. Just frozen ropes and laser beams.

Still love mine after 6 months. If you want to hit more fairways and not lose any distance the Nunchuck is the ticket.
It was really Ari's praise of this shaft that convinced me to give it a try.

OK, I hit a high flat ball and I love it. Id like to hit more fairways but not sacrifice workability (being a lefty I kinda need it off the tee). Am I asking too much?
Nope. That is exactly what the Nunchuck does. (atleast for me)
Give it a try and I do not think you will be sorry.

I'm still a little skeptical, though I've bought many shafts and paid big $$$ with mixed results. I like to hit a high ball. Would you say that this shaft does that? And I know the weight is hefty, but when you swing, what would you say it feels like, weight wise?

I just picked up a couple and put them in my R11 Driver and 3 Wood last night......can't wait to hit them tonight. Rugger & Ari, what length are you playing them in your driver? Based on what I'm reading they perform best at 44-44.5"?

I was like a kid at Christmas time last night when they showed up.

I think mine is 44.25, not positive though. It's a quarter inch longer than whatever the stock Motore is.

I believe the stock Motore plays to 45.75" in the head so if the shaft is .25" longer than the stock shaft you are playing it at 46".

44.25 grip to tip, just checked. Maybe my motore wasn't stock, donno. I bought that second hand.

Grip to tip of shaft or grip to bottom of club? Not trying to give you a hard time I'm just curious at what paying length people are having success.

Make sure you don't cut it too short (like me). I had to put it in my cb4 after tinkering with a 43.5 length. I will be going back to 44.75 after consulting with my equipment mentor (Ari).

I hit it for the first time in the CB4 last night and it was so much better than the stock RIP shaft, better flight and dispersion.

Did anyone go through a fitting session for this? It seems this is a "one shaft fits all", or am I missing something?

Anybody put one in an adjustable head? R9, 11, 910?

I see they have a box for a Promo Code on the order page so I'm curious about the availability of the code. $250 is a tough nut.

There used to be one. Try "Golf Tips" or a few combos of it. It used to work.

EDIT: Go to their FB page and like them. Fill out the info to register and they will send you a promo code.

Just been to their website to read up on this shaft after seeing this review. Very interesting. Does anyone have the actual specs of this shaft? How heavy is it? Also, what about feel. I like my shafts super smooth i.e. Harrison Saga or my Fuji 660TR. What's the Nunchuck like in this regard?
I found most of what I need on their site but sent an email for a couple other questions. That was about an hour ago and they already answered! I love good customer service!

I think it's over 100g, but incredibly smooth. Smoothest I've tried.
