I started with Pink......then went to white. Ive added white ferrules since these pics and they look dam good

For anyone who wats to know.......Nail polish remover works better because it isnt petroleum based like most paint strippers/thinners. SO hack into your lady friend's purse and get after it. Ive done many sets of paint fills on all different types of clubs. Good ole wal mart nail polish remover wins anyday

[size="2"]Thanks to all the information in this thread and some other threads I was able to do this quite easily. It's just really really time consuming but worth it in the end!

I'm a huge Seattle Mariner fan so I went with their old school retro colors.

haha, you win I must say, you do some amazing work, and I really enjoy seeing it. That En fuego....man. Beautiful. The paintfill on my driver, 3 wood, hybrid, irons, wedges, and putter were inspired by you!

On my Scotty Studio Laguna 2, I'm interested in how you would suggest doing the 3 dots on the back? I have both paints pens and nail polish. Whats the best way to get these 3 areas to look good? These really stand out on the club so I want them to look as good/clean/shiny as possible. Cheers.

Saw your tip on the other thread re removing the anodizing. This is just what I wanted todo on the 4 & 5 irons as the yellw / purple metallic paint job doesn't look great with red anodizing!!

my only tip is this. If you have paint on top of the anodized metal remove the paint first. When I de-anodized the ASP I forgot too and when I removed the paint from the O, C, N the red anodizing was still there. Instead of putting the ASP back in the solution, I decided to just paint over. Kinda sloppy but I didn't want to subject the Aluminum to more chemicals. Get a Six Pack and try it.

Also, the ASP will turn black while in the solution, no worry, it buffs right out with the Polish.

decided to strip out all the paintfills on my nike pro combo tour's, and the VR pro black ox wedges, and just do the sole numbers and any hosel text in red. Was originally going to do a white/red scheme, but after seeing the irons without paintfill i really liked it and just threw a hint of red on there.

Here is my Cal Bears set. I know it's another blue and yellow set of Mizuno's but hey I went to school there. There is a layer of epoxy over everything that makes it all nearly flush with the surface...no more sand to clean out!

Finally got my irons done! After doing the R11 the rest of the bag looked a bit ratty so I bead blasted the PING's and used red, white and black to go with the new Titleist 14 way bag and Ju Ju head covers. A fair amount of work but worth it. Yea, I know that the irons are 16 years old but I still love the way the feel and play. Next set might be i20's but I need to get some more cash first.

 

Here's what started the whole project:

 

 

Striped the red anodizing on the FCT sole plate and changed the R11 to black and grey.

 

And here's the Ping's after a lot of work:

 

 

I still have the 3 wood and hybrids to do and will post them when finished. Thinking about refinishing the heads to match the R11 but not sure I have the patience.

Picture of my putters and of two wedges I just refinished, hopefully I can get the wedges in black oxide this week. Alma Mater colors are Purple, white and gold......and I tend to like it.

Anybody know what the best paint to use is? Enamel or acrylic. Ive used nailpolish in the past but I can come out a little matt sometimes. Ive also used model paint - humbrol. Any thoughts??
