In the OPs defense, I think it's fair to point out.... Oh wait, did he just finish with an eagle to go -10 for 2nd?

opinions will always vary of course. It seems good to see him post respectable scores and placings, but if it's at the cost of bad mouth cussing and club tossing, I'm afraid he's just as lost as he's ever been. If he turned up with those antics at my home course, he'd be asked to leave. Sounds kind of self-righteous, but at the moment, I couldn't care less.

I'd like to think so. Golfing prowess and general reputation aside, dropping f-bombs all over the course and throwing of clubs is generally frowned upon. It's not big and it's not clever. I don't care who he is - Tiger Woods or the King of Spain - respect the course and the club conditions or face the consequences. Usually it's a rather red faced, irate, pipe-smoking secretary with a shotgun. You have been warned.

Dear Square,

It is obvious that you have a strong opinion about Tiger's decision to work with Mr. Foley. I for one, am intrigued how Tiger will adapt to the changes being made. For the record, I like the direction Mr. Foley is guiding Tiger towards. The question is whether or not Tiger can truly trust the changes when it counts. The argument is always going to be, go back to what worked, why make changes? Time will tell. Historically, Tiger has always had trouble with the driver. He has always "been stuck", so he either striped it, pushed it, or snap hooked it. Mr. Foley is attempting to help Tiger eliminate "getting stuck". Keep in mind, Tiger is making the calls here. He has put his trust in Mr. Foley for the time being. I know it is painful to watch right now as he rides this roller coaster, but let's just be patient and see what happens. I am curious to see, if Tiger should go on and beat Jack's record under Mr. Foley, if critics like you will admit you were wrong? I have always believed that Tigers' strongest attributes have been his mindset and his ability to scramble when it counts, NEVER his swing motion. I believe if Tiger can get to a point of trust, where he doesn't get the club "stuck" anymore, and re-capture his "mindset" and "scrambling ability"...WATCH OUT...Time will tell...

And BTW, if Tiger continues to struggle under Mr. Foley, I will still agree with the direction Mr. Foley was taking Tiger, but acknowledge that perhaps Tiger should have stuck with what worked. That is what makes teaching so challenging. Tiger has demonstrated that he can perform at a high level under different "swing thoughts/motions", so I don't think change is the issue. Calling Mr. Foley a fraud is very strong language, and although it's an opinion, I wonder what other touring professionals think of Mr. Foley? I'm all for agreeing to disagree, but to start name-calling is, I suppose, one route you can choose to go down. It will be an interesting journey this season as we follow Tiger, hopefully we will see a glimmer of what he once had, but then again, we may not. If we do not see Tiger beat Jack's record, do we blame Mr. Foley, do we blame Tiger, do we blame his fitness routine/injuries? Or, perhaps suggest that it was a great run and appreciate the journey that Tiger had? I, for one, hope to see Tiger beat Jack's record, but if it's not meant to be, then it is simply not meant to be!

Respectfully,

Mike

Hmmmm....

It appears that Mr. Woods and Mr. Rose have had a good week...

Well done gentlemen...

Now Foley is a total fraud who is going to absolutely destroy Tiger's swing. Tiger should fire Foley and stop this nonsense at once. Bending over alot at address, hanging on the left side throughout the backswing, not making a weight shift, and basically just making an arm swing, doesn't work. It never has and never will.

I'm sorry, but I just have to laugh at those who said Foley was awful and Tiger needed to fire him. I've been saying that the Foley stuff would be great ever since Tiger started working with Sean, and people bashed me and called me names because Tiger's performance didn't match their expectations at first.

This is the most efficient swing Tiger has ever played with, and it's especially lenient on his left knee, which is very important for his future.

I give tremendous props to Sean Foley. A great swing instructor and now Tiger is just beginning to perfect it.

What a couple of few weeks it's been here for Foley. First Mahan wins at Ritz-Carlton, and then Woods and Rose play excellent at the Honda Classic.

The future is bright for TW.

It is interesting that today, thru three rounds of the Honda, Woods is 1st in driving distance and 15th (I believe) in driving accuracy. I know it is only one tournament, but that's impressive.
Very very very very impressive. The problem with his game and why it is such a hill to climb to get anywhere like he was in 2000, is his putter is no where near as good as it was in the year 2000. People talk about the 2000 swing but never the 2000 putting,

Hopng he fires a 62ish score today, to give himself a chance/boost of confidence. He is due for a low round.,
You called it! Well done.

Great win for Rory, but I'm very happy to see Tiger striping it and getting better with his wedge distance control and putting.

if he putts as good as he did 10 years ago, he'd be smoking the fields by 5 shots imo.

Yes great round but no pressure on him, he has done this before when he is not in contention. Nobody is doubting how good he is but the proof will be doing something similar when he is in the lead or close to it. Many a great final rounds have come from players who had no chance of winning.

This was his best final round score in his career...the lowest final round Tiger has ever shot

He's gotta win at Doral. He's got to.

He needs to post a good score the first 3 days so he doesn't have to rely on a huge comeback like he did today. I'd say he needs to be leading by at least 2 going into Sunday to increase his chances of winning.

But let's not get too far ahead of myself...Thursday is first. -4 or -5 would be a great opening round.

He's not back yet. He was 10 behind the leader and needed a really great round, which he had. But mcilroy only shot - under and still won. To be back, tiger had to win again. I think if his putting remains like the last 3 rounds, he will get on the winners circle very soon. In my opinion golf is just more exciting when tiger is on contention. It almost felt like a major to me the way the announcers were talking and how hard the course is. I'll tell you one thing, a win will definitely come if he's number one on driving on a regular basis and his putting stays solid
