Wow!  Finding this thread after taking a peek at my V Steel 16.5 4 wood in the basement tonight.  I loved it. Haven’t gamed her in 10+ years.  I have a Rogue ST LS 3 wood in the bag currently.  I’m toying with reshafting the v steel and putting her back on the course…

I loved my v steel and occasionally take her out, sadly she no longer keeps up. Even though she’s at 15 degrees my 16.5 tsi2 is about 20 yards longer and just as straight.

I found a V Steel 3W at my local Play It Again Sports and it was the easiest $20 I’ve spent in awhile. I paired with a leftover UST Proforce V2 black shaft and it’s an absolute rocket launcher. I play older clubs from the 90s and 00s and I think this will overtake my 975F in the 3/4W spot.

Was in my local Play It Again Sports today to get some used tennis balls for my pupper when I spotted a 4w with the factory stiff steel shaft. $20 later it's all mine.

I gamed VSteel 3w since they launched it way back when and that 3w was the best club in my bag for many years. Like most of us, I sold it and moved on but I found these locally today for $60 for the pair and could not be happier. Such a great head shape. Nice! I may hunt down a 7w as well.

Yes. I put a Ventus Red Velocore 8X in a V-Steel 9WD and it’s sublime.

I’m debating velocore for the more expensive option or finding an old graphite design YS 6 for the cheaper option.

An OG Aldila NV (Green) is also a very good choice.

Took my 5 wood to the range for the first time in forever on Saturday. Cold wind, high 40’s.  It took a few swings but I got results I didn’t deserve. Eventually got a few out 200-210 carry.

I see what you guys mean about the stock shaft too. Definitely need to think about something a little stiffer than the stock stiff.
