Not sure about the FWY but I'd "guess" that if he doesn't have the Driver in the bag in December, it will be there in January.

The Swoosh is not on the crown. It is behind the hosel, which can't be seen in this pic.

Thanks. I love playing and testing great golf equipment from all of the oems. The only problem is that it is starting to cost me more and more $$$ each year. Us Wrx equipment ho's are trying to stimulate the golfing economy one day at a time...

Spoke with Stewart Cink after the 1st round at Disney about the new Covert Driver. Asked him how he like the Covert driver and he said he didn't even bring his old Nike gamer cuz he liked and trusted this new driver that much.

Asked him why the Performance model over the Tour. Said he needed more spin to get his ideal launch angle cuz he's been a low spin guy in the past. Using the MRC Kuro Kage silver shaft and loves it. Felt that it was a better fit for him then the Fujikura shaft that he's been using in his other Nike driver.

In fact. Stewart played with DL,III in the 1st & 2nd rounds and said he hit it by Davis quite a few times. Someone posted that Cink's driving distance stats at Disney showed he averaged 300 yds (his average for the year has been 289 yds with his older Nike driver). He feels that Nike has a winner and wouldn't be surprised if guys who don't have Nike equipment deals put the driver in play cuz it's that good.

Charles Howell, III asked me quite a few questions about the Covert driver at Disney and said he liked the Red color. He was checking Stewart's Covert driver out when both of their golf bags were next to each other on the putting green. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Charles didn't have one in the bag at some point next year.

There are photos in the Disney albums that will support Cink hitting the driver from on the range to on the course, as well as close ups of the head.

I guess this proves the Powersphere was indeed a good idea but the company was not big enough to support it. I don't really care what it looks like if it gets the job done. I guess colors are now being offered by most of the big boys, so I am ok with the red. If they get this in Tigers bag it will be all black with no swoosh on the top. It is kinda funny thinking about the progression of metal woods.....early ones were just a natural grey color, black was the standard for a long time, white gained fans and foes, and now pick your color.
