Guys.....we've all seen things that are "different"....white caught us off guard but widely accepted now....Cobra and Callaway both using wide array of colors. NIKE used current technology and improved it with radical cavity design.February will be here soon enough for all of us to swing it and give our thoughts. Until then, shall we not pass judgment and enjoy pics?
I've seen a stripper with a third nipple.

That was different.
Did he get upset and ask you to stop staring?
Turned out it wasn't a nipple...

Anyone know what the lie angles are on the driver?
I'm watching you Stage.
Given the 61° degree lie angle on the other big driver next year, the right lie angle might tip the scales in favor of a swoosh.

If they are ridiculously upright too, forget it.

I don't know; for the 2013 European Tour season the Covert driver has more wins than all other drivers combined. I'd think he's looking forward to playing with the new equipment.

It's kind of funny how backwards thigns are this year.
I can't beleive ALL the hype is around a Nike driver. I never thought I would live to see this day. If the performance on this driver is top shelf, this will be the club that takes Nike to #1 in the driver market. Great looking with the previous best player in the world and the current best player in the world using it, hard not to think this will be driver of the year.

Most people playing the Performance version still. Shocking to me.

I was think the same thing. Stewart, Carl and Francesco I saw were all swinging the 460cc Performance Driver. 2013 will be interesting to see which ones Tiger and Rory game. Watney coming to Nike too?

Well put. The Nike driver looks as good as the Taylormade driver looks bad...and the Taylormade driver looks really bad.

Haven't found any yet, Wyatt. But a great idea!

This is a perfect excuse to send it off to Continental Golf to be painted a high polish black to match my Classics wingtips. Or, I can paint the top baby blue to go with my blue/black pimp Classics.

Got to hit the Covert today as my rep stopped by. The GI driver will be the club of the year, IMO. The is the best sounding and feeling driver Nike has ever brought to market by a long shot. The adjustability is off the charts...it can sit wide open if you want it to. I was shocked how nice the shape is. Sure, there will be people turned off by the red color...but it's quite frankly not nearly as bright as you'd think. It sort of fades to black on the edges at address. He actually let me put the tour shaft in the performance head and BAM--money. I was also really impressed with the fairways/hybrids, but he said he needed to keep them looking brand new as they were his samples and not demos (obviously a driver off the tee would not mess them up too bad). The other thing that struck me was how stable the club was through impact...assuming because of the cavity? Speaking of which...I never would have thought a metal wood with a cavity could sound that damn good. When I first picked it up, my initial thought was that the cavity was so deep that it would make a horrible noise, but I was completely wrong. C'mon February!!!

Do you have to have a college degree to operate that driver? That seems like too many variables for the average player.

Face angle left, center or right - clearly marked - very easy

8.5-9.5-10.5-11.5-12.5 clearly marked

So no college degree needed. Actually you would have to be pretty stupid not to be able to make any change you need

The Nike adjustment system may be the only one that you don't need a booklet to set the club up to your liking. Very simple system that actually works as designed.

Does the tip look like it will handle a pull and reassemble on another shaft?

This driver has me looking. But Kuro Kage just ain't gonna do it. If I can pull the tip and throw it on my 8A4 or even a ProtoPYPE, we might be talking. Access to extra tips would be a bonus. TM was smart about that. The other OEMs, not so much. Here's hoping Nike will be smart as well.

I was talking with Tom Stites at a Nike "Media" event, he said that Nike would be offering a very wide selection of "Tour" shafts, not "Made For" shafts. Some with and some without up charges.

Nike was also going to work out all the legal details for making the tips available to their authorized repair centers so that reshafting could be available locally.

Not so sure if they will make tips available directly to the consumer but that's not to say you won't be able to get the via a 2nd or 3rd party connection.
