[i]Cleveland Classic 290, but upgrade the stock shaft! I recommend a 45" Fujikura 757 Speeder Tourspec, tipped 1/2" and a 50+ gram grip, like the Golf Pride Tour Wrap. That combo will keep the swingweight at D4, (same as stock swingweight), but total weight will rise of course. it will now be a "Classic 330".[/i]

I noted that Cleveland dropped the 440cc Clalssic 310 head for 2013. They went with the larger volume,(460cc), deepface shape of the 290 for both the new 2013 Black Classic XL model and the new Classic XL Custom model. While the 460cc deepface head is larger in volume, it acutally has s smaller footprint than the 440cc Classic 310 does.

The 2013 Classic Custom Model is Cleveland's first attempt at an Adjustable Driver. The only adjustments you can actually make are to the face angle, and one setting for a 3* more uprgiht lie to create a draw bias. There are also (2) weight plugs which do nothing more than adjust swingweight for the various shaft weights that might be used.

Obvioulsy Other Manufactureres are much further along with the whole adjustability thing if that is what you are really after. Not for me, but then I never have been a fan of Adjustable Drivers anyway.

Not suprised to see the 310 head dropped for 2103. The 2012 Classic 310's headshape was derived from the older Cleveland TL models and was not nearly as popluar during 2102 as the Classic 290 headshape. The 290 was the brand new head shape for 2012 and the only shape Cleveland continued over to 2013. Even the Cleveland Tour Staff shunned the Clssic Tour 310 in 2012, they all preferred the newer 290 head, so dropping the "Tour" 310 was a no-brainer.
