Best thing going in the 20-30 dollar range??

I keep the ball in play but I'm not quite where I was before a long break from golf (5 years). Not sure of my SS but I do get the ball out there. 260-270 with roll with my current driver and I carry my 7 about 160ish. I'm a lefty and my iron misses list lazily to the left. Misses on driver a pretty good cut. I rarely pull the ball. I haven't read enough to know the new trends right now. I mostly play the DT Solo or Noodle. I like to feel the ball compress but I think these might have too much spin??

 

I'm not brand loyal but I don't want to spend to much on balls until my game is back in the mid-lower 80's consistently. I'm in the lower - mid 90's now.

I'm a cheapskate when it comes to balls, so I just buy a bunch at a time from lostgolfballs. Just picked up 100 b300, 100 b330-s, and a dozen nike one blacks in AAA condition for $101.27 shipped. Out of the 212 balls, 24 were in condition a little worse than AAA, and they are shipping me replacements free of charge.

If you're not playing a tournament that doesn't allow x-outs, you can get some Callaway Hex Chrome x-outs for $20. Callaway says they only have cosmetic imperfections, nothing to affect performance.

If you are playing the Noodle and DT Solo give the 2013 QStar a shot should be a lot of what you are use to but with better spin into and around the green.

DT Solo and Noodle are soft two piece balls made for low spin and distance. If you want cheap, low spin balls I think you've already got them. But if you want something different and cheaper then try lostgolfballs.com. They have great deals, you won't feel bad losing them while you get your game in shape.

they are having a sale on the Z Stars for $30, which I think is a great deal. Bridgestone e series are also nice balls and in the $20-30 range as well.

Golf Galaxy has TaylorMade Penta TP5 Practice balls for 19.99. That's the best bargain I've ever seen.

If you need less spin, the DT Solo and Noodle are already good cheap low-spin options. Last year I played the NXT Tour S normally, but switched back to the DT Solo when my slice would creep up and I needed to straighten out my drives to get some confidence back.

As already mentioned, I think the Srixon Q-Star and Bridgestone e6 are great mid-priced options with low spin. Those are the straightest balls off the tee that I've hit, but neither one worked for me around the green.

Locally there are several 2012 "tour" balls on sale between $20 and $30.

- Taylormade TP3 = $20

- Taylormade TP5 = $25

- Srixon Z Star = $30

- Nike 20xi = $30

Personally, I'll be playing the TP5 ball for the foreseeable future.

In all seriousness, it is a really great all around golf ball. The V2's can be had really cheap on eBay.
