PURE DTX Grips

I put one on a gap wedge and I really like the feel. It has great traction and it doesn't tear up my hands. I am going to get the rest to put on my other clubs. Pumped. They do feel rough, but they are not harsh on my hands.

I have some on the way and I am just looking for some opinions.

I am coming from Tour Wrap 2G's on my irons and NDMC's on my Driver/Fairways/Wedges.

I find most of my customers coming from the NDMC really like the DTX. Just as much if not more grip than the NDMC with better durability. Feel wise the DTX will be a pretty big change from the Tour Wraps because of the extreme amount of texture. If you were looking for a Pure grip that is similar to the Tour Wrap 2G's, that would be the P2 Wrap, which is incredibly tacky and remains that way with little or no maintenance.

I made the switch to dtx after using gptv, Lamkin Crossline, sharpro cords, ndmc. Dtx is my favorite of the bunch. You could play them bare handed in the rain and not worry about slipping or tearing your hands up. They feel funny at first but then that disappears after a few swings because you'll love the confidence the grip gives you. They make a plasticy noise and are thin so you may need to build them up. After getting these I can't imagine a reason to go back to anything else. Grip like full cords but are easy on your hands and don't gunk up like the ndmc's. Plus they run pretty cheap on the bay and can be found in many colors.

I felt these were horrible compared to bct or NDMC. Felt cheap and the attempt to synthetically create the feel of cord using rubber (or whatever it is) was not for me. I wanted to like them because I'm a huge fan of the pure grip company. Maybe I got a bad batch. Not sure.

Threeputtforepar is the man and has helped me with PURE grips in the past. I left the pro and dtx to play the p2 wrap. It is like the golf pride 2g tour wrap, but better because it requires no up keep to stay tacky, but if you take care of them they are extra tacky. I see myself with these grips for a long time. Kinda wish I went with white, but I am sure the black grips will stay in the bag.

Hard to go wrong with the DTX. All of PURE's options are great and they offer something for everyone.

Got a set of (white) DTX's in today. I already know I am going to like them on my driver/woods. Will have to see about the irons since I used a much lighter/looser grip when I swing them.

I appreciate the suggestion regarding the P2 Wraps. If the DTX's and my irons don't get along, I know what I will be switching to.

I got 1 to try on my demo iron. Unfortunately my season ended prematurely due to a personal/family issue so I only got to hit the demo iron with this grip about 10 times.

I am a LONG time NDMC user, what I noticed was the non-glove hand will be the biggest adjustment going from a smoother to a coarse grip. I always have sweaty hands so the DTX caught my eye. For their price it is soooooo worth buying a couple to try.

I'm thinking about theses as well. Don't have an air compressor though to install as their website recommends.

Has anyone installed them with tape and solvent? Any issues?

Yes, you can install them with tape and solvent. I did it last year and have had 0 problems so far.

I have them on all of my clubs.
White Woods and Irons and Purple on the Wedges.

I use to play the Victory Pride Cord grips and the V55 Cord non-bct for a long time.
These Pure grips are like cord but will not tear up your hands. The first time you play with these they will feel weird but after that youll never go back to cord.



Unless Z-Cord Ribbed becomes available to the little people

I am curious how white the white stays over time. Will you post an update after you play with them for a while?

I've been playing the white DTX on my wedges for the last 4-5 months and they have stayed pretty clean. I'm at the range 3-4 times a week and play 1-2 rounds a week and the only upkeep I've done is a quick rinse with water about once a month to remove the dust that gets down into the grooves.

I have the gray DTX on all of my gamer clubs and I really like them.

I have black, red and orange on various clubs that may or may not make the bag on any given day (2 iron, wedges, etc.)

I haven't tried the DTX or the Pro yet, although i have a few coming. I replaced the GP 2G on my driver with one of the Pure P2 wrap grips and so far I am a fan. I think it is a better grip, which made me curious about the other grips Pure makes. I like the fact that they can be blown on without any tape or solvent. I use a small 12 volt emergency tire compressor and it works fine for the purpose. I also like NDMC grips, so the DTX really interests me.

I've had the dtx mid size on my clubs for a while now, and love them. I'm a long time cord user and feel these grip just as well for me, yet are softer feeling. Love the many colors too. I've got a bunch of backups, so I won't be switching to a different grip anytime soon. DTXs are staying.

Yes! Michigan winters will slow me down a little but I will be sure to report back.

These are my favorite grips. I have played a lot of different ones. These things are so good. I don't feel like my hands will slip ever!

I just put the white DTX on my clubs in midsize with 5 extra wraps of tape and they feel perfect and look great. Now to get outside and hit some balls rather than beating balls in a simulator. When will this winter end?

Finally, the DTX may be a new favorite. I love the white...

Oldish thread, but was wondering if the squishy butt end cap of these grips bugs anyone else? I like them a lot but it's an odd feeling at the very butt end even though I don't really grip the club all the way down there

My pure pros are a little squishy up top as well but it's never bothered me on the course.

I picked some up and put them on my driver, 3 wood and SW so far. I plan to get a round or two in before I decide to redo my set. My only complaint at the moment is that they make a funny noise when adjusting your grip....sort of a squeaky, skweegy kinda thing. A little weird at first, but I think I like them.....I'll chime in again when I get to play with them. After a few range session, I like them. The Lamkin iLines are quite nice actually...have those on a few wedges.

They work great in humidity, seem to get stickier. Best rain grip I've ever had.
