Played:
The European Club, Ireland. The first two times I played there Pat Ruddy was actually there on the first tee acting as the starter. It was brilliant. I haven't played there since 2001 and it gets me school-girl giddy thinking about it.
Bandon Resort. Taking that left-turn and entering the property, driving through the trees, knowing 4 incredible courses await... special :)

Not played (that I could play):
Cruden Bay, Scotland. Rippling dunes and North Sea. Yes please.
Pinehurst #2. Ross + Coore/Crenshaw = Win.

Highlands at Primland. Never played it, but I will some day.

My mom is from Meadows of Dan and it shocks me that they built a fancy course there, but the area is absolutely stunning. Give me tree lined mountain golf and I could be happy for the rest of my days. Same could be said if I never played a desert course again haha.

Primland is awesome! The Highlands Course is a must play.

The course that just does it for me is the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course. It is an awesome experience to get to play a high profile course that is on TV every year (30+ years now). Seeing the drama of the Players as it starts to unfold on No. 13 up until the dramatic conclusion at Nos. 16, 17, and 18 and then having the same experience is nearly unmatched in golf. I think the only course that could top it would be Augusta National (same reason as Sawgrass + history + the fact that its Augusta National) or possibly the Old Course.

The Boston Club. It's about 8 minutes from my house. Have walked it four times watching a tournament, but have never played it. Membership is by invitation only. Very exclusive. Unbelievably beautiful. Each hole is a work of art. Designed by Gil Hanse.

I always get a chuckle when you post about it....it's Boston Golf Club. And you can join if you can write the check, the place nearly went into bankruptcy once the member who kept funding the club's annual deficit had enough.

That being said, it's a great course and worthy of your praise....just might be tough to get an invite if you can't ever get the name right.

I know about the financial difficulties, but it's still by invitation only (at least that's what more then one person told me), and even I was invited to join it's a bit beyond my price range. I doubt if I'll get an invite despite my not calling it the Boston Golf Club. I don't know any members. :-)

Believe it or not, I got to go with Tobacco Road. It is unlike any other course I've ever played, including a few other Strantz courses (Royal New Kent is pretty nice).

A close second is Mystic Rock at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort (PA). It is amazing. Elevation changes, short holes, long holes, CRAZY bunkering (pete dye), amazing water shots, the whole 9 yards.

After college I worked as a caddie in FL for a year or so and got to play some incredible courses down there. One that really stood out was La Gorce CC. It is a real "classic" styled golf course and has every hole imaginable. The conditions were as good as any I've ever seen. Also up on the list is Turnberry Isle CC (Soffer Course), but I played it so many times that it started to lose its mystique (I worked at that club/ played it 3-4 times per week).

Pinehurst #4, yes, I said #4 and NOT #2, is also up there. I got to play it in May, with the flowers in bloom, and it was the really the best visuals I've ever experienced on a course.

Disclaimer - I've never played CA golf.

Ping G driver, stock whatever stiff it comes with. Been crushing it long & straight recently (i.e., 255 and only a 20 yard hook)
913F 15*, DIamana kaI'LI 75 S

Ping S56 4-PW
Vokey 52.07, illegal cleveland 55.10; vokey 59.07;
old rusty scotty blade something-or-other
Glove on left hand.

For the courses I haven't seen in person or played, I get chills thinking about the Bandon courses (specifically Pacific Dunes and Old Mac), Augusta National, and the courses in Kohler, WI. For the courses I have played or seen, Eastlake (the smell of nostalgia is so high when you walk the property), The Crosby in Rancho Santa Fe (played it about 10 years ago), and Granite Links just south of Boston (the view from the 1st tee box is awesome).

TaylorMade M3 w/HZRDUS Yellow stiff
TaylorMade M4 Tour 3 wood w/HZRDUS Red stiff
TaylorMade M3 2 hybrid (set to 19*) w/HZRDUS Black stiff

Srixon 765 5-PW Modus 120 Stiff
Cleveland RTX 3.0 50*, 54*, and 58* KBS 61

Not a single course per se but I love golf courses that are just golf courses. No houses on the sides of the fairway, no snaking through neighborhoods, just a golf course.

Granted there are some fantastic courses out there built around developments but I just love the feeling of being out on a course and there's nothing around you.

Cobra King F6+, Matrix Black Tie 65M4
Callaway X Utility Prototype 21*, Project X PXI 6.0
Adams XTD 3-PW, KBS C Taper 90
Scratch 8620 D/S 50*, 56*, 60*, TrueTemper Dynamic Gold S300
Bettinardi SS15
Srixon Q Star Tour

Played - echo the Bandon mentions. Loved them all, Old Mac the best for me, but you can't go wrong with any. I will say that my best memories from the trip were playing the Preserve. My dad and I had a great time.

Not played - after the last 2 us opens I have an infatuation with both Olympic and Merion. Sebonack from the uswo is up there too.

Played: Blue Monster day after 1997 Ryder Open when I was in 8th grade I think maybe 9th and it was still setup for the last round (my moms company scored us the round). Wasn't so much the course as getting time to spend with my dad who was very ill when I was young and just learning golf

Haven't played: Quail Hollow local to me in Charlotte, have been at the last 2 Wells Fargo and just love the course. But it is private and I will never have enough money to join there.
