Fall golf photos

Just wanted to share my favorite fall golf view at my local course. Feel free to share yours here as well. This tree looks like this every year, like it is on fire.

That's pretty cool, what kind of tree is that? Sadly, here in Los Angeles I don't really get the full 4 season effect. I don't lose as many golf balls in the leaves, but the courses are all pretty similar and lack character like the mid-west courses I grew up with.

There is a tree like that up above Pasadena near Eaton Canyon that I see every year or two. I love seeing it since as you said, we dont really get that kind of stuff very often.

Yes. I haven't played Van Patten in a few years, but I am local.

Love the pictures so far guys! I will snap a few from the DC/MD/VA area as soon as the leaves start changing. I am originally from MN and aside from hitting a ball in the middle of the fairway and not being able to find it from time to time, this is by far my favorite time of year. I'm looking forward to getting some golf in this fall.

I seem to only ever play at VPGC. I grew up across the street from it. My parents still live there and I play every weekend with my father there as we bought in to the yearly membership. My wednesday night league also plays there. I only play other courses a couple of times a year.

Sadly I only brought my phone during my last round at Bogstad GC in Oslo, Norway. We played in the morning, this is a view of the trees separating the 1st and 18th fairways.

I only had my iphone to take a few pictures of my round yesterday but some still turned out ok. I played out at Laurel Hill in Lorton Va. It's where they held the Publinx in August and it was in awesome shape. I have been lucky enough to play out there about 6 times this year and every single time it was in fantastic shape. Really fun course and it's a bargain compared to some of the more "upscale" public courses in the area, plus it's really close to the city compared to most other courses worth playing.
