Fantastic views. I do not recall playing any course with more scenic holes. I cannot think of a hole I did not like. I will definitely be playing there some when they open.

Agreed. I loved it. The elevation was beautiful. The course conditions surpassed any expectations I had for a place getting no
play.

It was an awesome experience for sure. Pretty neat playing a course that is essentially not available to anyone.

Just curious, did anyone think the greens looked slow, but rolled perfect?

I just swore they looked kinda long and slow but, they rolled absolutely perfect for me. Just a tad less break than I was reading

The Champions Bermuda is my favorite grass for greens. I'm glad many of the courses around here either have changed or are in the process. We heard Henry Horton was closed and changing over to the Champions Bermuda. They roll perfectly and there's almost never a time that a ball makes a mark on the green. No more fixing a dozen marks while fixing your own.

 

We really have to thank Johan for having us out once again. He didn't have to do that for us but was nice enough to do so. The course is by far the nicest I've ever played on and even if you are playing bad, the views keep you in awe and you don't worry about the score.

Those of you who live close and will get to play it a lot should consider yourselves lucky. Those who will be able to join, even better! Johan and his crew have done some great work out there with more to come, so things will only get better.

Just got home from playing the Hideaway...really nice course. Johan was great as well. Definitely, the Riverwatch of Williamson county.

Much, much nicer than Riverwatch in my opinion and already in better condition. I understand what you are saying though, Riverwatch is a very scenic course.

Help me out. Is hole 1 the split fairway with the pond on the right and 10 the short 4 on the "back side of hill".

Also, what does the clubhouse look like? Is it nice.

Yes, 1 is the split fairway and #2 is a short par 3 with pond to the right.

No clubhouse yet. There is no anything yet but a course and cart paths and a paved road.

Just got back from playing the course. Great course. Played with nuthin but a hacker, minarets and gr8blueheronbird. Great guys to play a round of golf with. Thanks to Johan for letting be come out and preview the course. Course was in great shape with only a few bad spots here and there. Greens were a little sandy from being punched but still rolled good. Hit more bad shots than good but still had a great time.1 eagle and 1 birdie and a bunch of others but happy just to play. I recommend playing here, at least once, when it opens. Very scenic.

Really frustrated yet another course has decided to go private. Nashville needs more public courses, not yet-another-private.

 

I realize I'll get no sympathy from those of you that have the cash to spare, but Nashville is really not a good town for public golf and that's never going to change if every new course goes private.

Nashville isnt a good city for public golf at all.. Most of the public courses are pure junk..Even in the surrounding counties you won't find much at all.. Our group spends more time driving to northern GA or Alabama to play...

Anyone know why the club house hasn't broken ground? I wish someone with the course would come on here and give us an update.

I went out there to look at homes a month or so back and Johan wasn't there but was told they changed their mind and it would be fully private this year to 50 members only. They had 48 already committed and membership was half price to those 50.

 

Kinda sad this is going private even though I expected it. I agree with above, if it's a nice course in the greater NASHVILLE area, it's likely going private. Sucks. Hermitage is the best public course I can think of around then maybe Gaylord.
