Golf hats are just the goofiest

How do people wear these things with a straight face? Feel like I'm auditioning for one those backwoods MTV shows every time I try one on, which I'm incapable of doing without bursting out in laughter. Isn't there supposed to be a pre-made fray on the bill when you buy one of these massive benders?

Mercifully, with the long-overdue inception of actual hats that can be bent at one's discretion, they appear to be on their way out, but holy hell - how did they even make it this far?

My guess is maybe a junior in high school because he has a disdain for freshman. However I'm not sure why he thinks golf hats are so goofy yet he displays pictures of baseball hats while posting on a golf forum. Although I do appreciate his honesty about laughing at himself in the mirror.

I make any hat look good. Lol But plenty of company's use new era to make their hats. Some 59/50 I think. Go that route.

sure is a shame that there is literally only one type of hat that every single person is supposed to wear and not, ya know, options and varieties of hats.

also, if we were all cut from our freshman baseball team, wouldn't showing us a picture of a baseball player wearing a hat be redundant? unless you skipped the hat wearing lesson, which led to you being cut from said team.

I pretty much wear snapbacks or bucket hats on the golf course. When its warm and cloudy its gunna be snapbacks. When its sunny and hot as can be its gunna be bucket hats. I will wear beanies when its cold out, which is every month here in michigan but July and August

As someone who made varsity as a freshman i can say that the flatbill trend actually started on the baseball field. It was all the rage in college ball a few years ago. Some pro teams ask their players to play a certain way so you won't see it as much in MLB.

90% of golf hats aren't flatbills. Actually most golf hats are actually INSANELY comfortable. As someone who wore a wool baseball hat for 16 years.....The golf flex fit hats are a huge improvement. So i'd say most golf hats are pretty awesome.

And the pic is of someone wearing something more akin to a flat bill with a slight curve to it.

Any hat with a pre-bent bill, e.g.

which is all you'll find in 80+% of golf shops. The flat bill hats are an improvement, but I've yet to see a form-fitting (i.e. not flex-fit) one

OP, you're not making any sense it seems to anyone but yourself. Please don't keep trying to prove your point!!!! LOL!

I just think it's funny that the OP thinks that, though you can bend a flat-bill to you preferred curve, there is absolutely no possible way to decrease the bend in a pre-bent bill to your preferred curve.

It works both ways... I do it to every pre-bent hat I buy, and the curve matches perfectly with the 3-4 59fifty baseball hats I have.

What's wrong with using the 180deg of rotation built into your neck? Don't know why you'd have to turn your entire body. I actually wear both styles of hats, flat-bill and pre-bent. If you wear the hat properly you loose no peripheral vision at all.

Do you know how many people have been killed or injured on golf courses due to lack of peripheral vision accidents? The pre-bent bill lobby is paying to keep those stats a secret! Wake up sheeple!
