Driver shafts for Cobra f9 recommendations

Hello all I've been searching around for possibly getting a new shaft for my Cobra f9 driver. Seeing if anyone out there has any recommendations on a good shaft, not expensive. I'm looking for a stiff shaft with a low-mid launch and low spin. Nothing high spin or high launch. Been just looking to see what others have out there as shafts they have tried out with that combo. Been reading a lot about the Fuji Atmo black 6s shafts, which is a low spin, low launch shaft, but don't want it to be too low.

Rogue Silver is low launch/spin.

Honestly...go to Titleist custom shaft site...you can look at characteristics and comparisons of many shafts there, then just get the shaft with the Cobra adapter.

I'll chime in with some shaft heresy. There's no such thing as a low launch/low spin shaft.

Spin is determined by the loft of the head, angle of attack, and head CoG.

Now, if a particular shaft allows you to deliver the head with better launch characteristics and you get the launch characteristics you want, then you could consider it low launch/spin.

Very well said, and not enough ppl understand this. I will also add that in addition to those parameters, strike location on club face is a big one. If a shaft allows u to deliver a strike slightly above sweet spot, and usually a tiny bit toe side, vertical gear effect takes over and raises launch angle and knocks spin off.

I agree with the above. But reading between the lines on this one. I think Kevcannon and jvincent would agree, try the AD TP.

I played the F9 driver with AD TP 6s tipped 1" . Great combo and was low launching for me.. Also had luck with Kuro Kage Silver Tini Proto 60 in TS flex. Kuro Kage seemed to deliver the head better for me, brought spin down a bit and launch up as well. I hit butter cut bombs with it. You can find them for a song on the auction sites. My SS is 98-103 mph.

@cw1209 Good catch. I'm with @KevCannon on this one, the TP is a super shaft. I love the feel and it works really well for me in both driver and 4W. I just traded in my F9 for a Speedzone and it was traded in with one my backup shafts as the TP will be going into the Speedzone.

I have mine set to 9* and use an atmos tour spec blue 6s in mine and couldn't be happier the with this set up. My swing speed is moderate and not too aggressive.

I've was fit for and use the Kuro Kage Silver Tini Proto 60 in a 9 degree and its been a great combo. Strong flight and great feel.

Simply idiotic to buy a shaft based on what someone else says they like. Every person loads the shaft differently and has different characteristics. Hey - I have some swampland in Florida, it is a great investment...can I have your money?

I've hit the demo head multiple times using the TP-7 from my F9.

It is much better looking at address than the F9. Taking the milling over the top edge looks great. Performance wise it was a wash or maybe a little bit better on off center hits. I upgraded mostly for the looks and wanting to have the new shiny stuff.

Haha yea I definitely love the look of it! I just upgraded to the f9 from the f8+ I just always loved the look of the drivers. I got the avalanche one which I love the look of! I was just curious on the numbers and all.

@derekmunster Here's an example of my numbers.
My CHS is pretty consistently in the 100-102 mph range. I was averaging right around 148-150 mph ballspeed with the SZ. Spin was in the 2400 range and getting carry of 245-250. These numbers were from a GCHawk.

@jvincent Wow those are really good numbers, I might be a little lower than that but I just want consistency like you said you have. Those are good numbers!
