Anybody get their clubs stolen?

Just an idea, check ebay, amazon, craiglist ... who knows you will find your golf sticks.

Not golf clubs, but I had my bike stolen off the back of my car (was chain locked to the bike rack).

 

Ended up being able to make an insurance claim, and got back enough money to purchase a new bike (even slightly better) with it. Was bitter sweet because it was an older bike at the time, and I couldn't buy the exact same thing...but I still came out with a new bike.

I never have, but a coworker had his bag stolen out of his garage in a nice neighborhood when I lived in NC, he lived in Cary IIRC. They ended up catching the thief, he was a fool local rich college kid, son of a CEO of a local tech company, he was stupid enough to put them up on eBay. My friend had an unusual mix of old and new Pings, clear-cut they were his. Don't remember what happened to the kid, probably nothing....

Just bought a set of Carbon Steel Number and letters to stamp my clubs . This sucks, and I am sorry .

Truthfully anyone could take anything . Let law enforcement do their job. They may find them.

 

Play it again sports probrably is a hot spot for these items to end up. Shoot, an LPGA player had her clubs stolen and wind up at Play it again sports.

We all know what the root cause is and without getting political, at least we have someone who seems to care. Hopefully things will improve.

 

Here in the Houston area the population growth is just unbearable. Fishing gear is a real concern and you really have to be careful where you park. There is no secret of the profile for these thieves.

The root cause is an overly enabled generation who think the world and everything in it belongs to them. And whotf seems to care? In the name of all that is holy and good, i hope u arent referring to who i think you are referring to....cuz i wouldnt leave that dude alone in a room with my mother..

Had exactly that. Found out then that auto insurance doesn't cover contents, and it's home/renters that I didn't have.

I had a set stolen out of my brother's car in our high school parking lot. Parent's home owner's covered it and I got a set of MIzuno MP-14's out of the deal. I wish I knew who did it so I could hug him.

Having said that, with the slump I am in I can leave mine in my driveway tonight if anyone wants to drive by and get them.

Had my whole bag stolen outta the back seat of my Jeep. Just ran in to the grocery for a couple things, came back out and they were gone. Busy parking lot too. Maybe that worked to their advantage. Called the cops, they filed a report. Called insurance company, not really anything they could do. Checked Craigslist and local pawn shops for a month or 2...nothing.

That sucks - sorry to hear it. Mine are covered under my homeowners policy, but they aren't easily replaceable and I'd be sick about it regardless.

So while not completely on the same level I had a wedge "stolen" by an employee of a golf course. I had left my wedge behind, a 48* sm6(my mistake) and called the next day and spoke to the girl in the pro shop who asked me detailed questions right down to what grip I had on it. She said yup I saw it this am and put me on hold to call down to the cart barn to make sure it was still there before I drove to get it. She came back and told me it was now gone they didn't have it anymore. Course made it right though ordered me a new sm7

I just had my entire bag stolen from my car in front of my house last month. Homeowners gave me $3200 and after deductible got $2200.

The issue is the stuff in my bag not the clubs. Clubs and golf balls are somewhat replaceable. The collectibles etc, I don’t even know what all was in my bag.

My bag I can’t find anymore, and the directed force putter sucked because they went up in price.

Still hasn’t turned up on eBay or cl. Once I sa the directed force putter or my golf bag I will know right away

The clubs were out of sight. Covered. What is weird is that I had fishing rods as well next to the clubs and they left those. It is like they knew what was in there and knew what they wanted to take.

 

My guess is the lowlife must have been alone and on foot or the rods would have been taken also. I feel for you...that bottom dweller is stealing oxygen on a daily basis also , from all of us.

Had a scare this morning. Got into my car and was on my way to work. Noticed my rear view mirror was at a very weird angle and my mid compartment was open. Then i thought maybe someone got into my car and i immediately thought about this thread.

 

It was a pretty nerv wracking few minutes until I got to work and was able to check my trunk. I couldn't imagine having to replace all my clubs/accessories/shoes.

 

I feel for you my man, i hope you get those sticks back soon.
