Here are some pics of my SLDR MiniDriver. Give one a demo, they are very versatile and a lot of fun to play with. I hit a bunch of great shots with it and it's definately in the bag!
Got a chance to give the SLDR Mini a try to day at the range. Thanks Z. I have to say it is a great club. A lot of confidence looking down at it. Ball comes off hot, very easy to hit and work in both directions. I will be looking to get one in my bag, just need to figure out the shaft. Yes I know, fitting, fitting, fitting...

I need to hit the Mini to believe it, I just don't see how a head that big could be easy to elevate off the deck.
Neither did I. Then I hit it. So I understand the need to see it to believe it. You will be happy with that thing in your hands.

Yeah. I agree. The bigger sized head could mess with my mind as well. Hopefully I can find one down in myrtle next week when I'm there.

Me too.. the 913FD I felt was "clunky" when compared to the SLDR 3W and wasn't better off the tee so it made the decision easy for me. If the size makes the Mini perform really well off the tee and is good off the ground, this could be a game changer for me.

Exactly. I played the 3 deep last year and it was a bomber off the tee. Great club. I could elevate it off the deck but I wasn't consistent enough with it.

With how the guys are describing the ease of the mini off the deck well.......it will be being purchased if I hit it and see what they are talking about.

Thanks for all the updates and pics guys. Really impressive trip. TM really rolled out the red carpet for you.

Re: stock SLDR shaft v. stock other OEM: Recently I went for a TM fitting with a master certified fitter (outdoors, Flightscope X2, etc.).

Turns out the cheapo Speeder 57 in X gave me the best numbers. The new 757 was very close, but the fitter said it may not be worth it to drop the dough for that shaft as the difference was negligible. We did not try all the different shafts though, so there may have been others that may have given me slightly better numbers/dispersion. As it stands though, the driver fits me quite well..very high and straight, low spinning shots. Surprisingly, the SLDR is straighter than my G25. The only thing I could hit with the PING was high spinny fades. When I cut the ball with the TM, the curvature was noticeably less pronounced.

Anyway, keep the info coming - it's been a fun thread to follow.
You make a good point about working the ball with these lower spinning heads combined with lower spinning shafts, hit golf balls designed for less spin off the driver. Good topic for another thread.
Absolutely. Not my intention to derail the thread at all. Thanks again and keep the info coming.

It does look different with such a large head but "Trust" those that hit it...it will elevate. I am a low ball hitter with fairway woods and use a 17 degree HL 3 wood. I hit the 14 degree SLDR Mini on about the same trajectory as the HL 3 wood. I also tried the 12 degree SLDR Mini with the stock TP shaft (forgot what it was) and was not as impressed asI was with the 14 degree SDLR Mini. The Mini is the "hit" of the year for sure.

Awesome review Chris! It's too bad you couldn't get more dialed in with the SLDR. Hopefully you do end up getting the SLDR mini. I'm looking at getting the 14 or 16* right now just trying to make up my mind. I also really liked all your pictures. Makes me feel like I was there with you guys!

I'm seriously considering it as a driver replacement for the more tighter courses I play. The 12 degree. Will be a sort of 2 wood 'fairway finder'.

Honestly it goes very nearly as far as the SLDR driver I was fitted into.

HipCheck's Mini was preeeeeeeeeeeeetty!

The Mini was awesome. It's accurate like a 3 wood, but with more distance. I didn't get to experiment with it off the deck, but off the tee it was solid.

Dude I saw you hit it off the deck twice from that sidehill lie and all you could do was hit it straight remember?

    • Titleist GT drivers - 2024 the Memorial Tournament
Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
