I read that as well - interesting given that AS is one of the best drivers of the ball on tour and put the 913D3 in play the week he won his Green Jacket. Also, was testing the 9.5 D5, and word has it is bagging a 10.5 D3 with a KK shaft.

This D5 shape looks a lot like the old Nike VR Pro Tiger head. Interested to see what actually happens with this one.

Big update guys, titleist rep just stopped by, same hosel as the 913's, stock shafts new dia's and rouge silver 110msi and black 95msi, FD is smaller than the f and looks pure.
Dia blue feels slightly counter balenced forsure.

D4 is 440cc with the weight in the center
D5 is 400cc

Both of which may make it to retail same way as the 712u and hd did. I asked the rep if they would but he didn't commit to a forsure but it seems much more likely than my original 10%

D4 a bit smaller with slightly different weight distribution. Believe the D3 is 445cc, just like the 913D3.

Well it's like a 2015 model year car coming out a few months early. I still say it's a 2015 instead of 2014. In the past with the fairway woods not being released until the first few months of the model year if rang more true. But to each his own I guess.

As much as I'd like to believe this I'm skeptical. That is an awful lot of offerings with which to try achieve some profit - especially when you're not the market leader.

BTW, not implying you're info is wrong. Just suspect the reps enthusiasm/desire got out in front of current facts.

The d4 and d5 would be special order only so it's not like you are asking places to take on large orders of them, I don't think the U or HD would have been high cash grabs for titleist but they released them anyway, I think their prowess in the ball market allows them to not chase profits as much as others in the club market. The rep said the driver line could mirror the iron line. D2=ap1 d3=ap2 d4=cb d5=mb

Most sane people will (or should) do the same and park the D5. Just hope if the D4 is special order only, it's included as standard on the 915 fitting cart.

Also for the rep to know what the D4&5 where when I asked him and that the D5 indeed 400cc leads me to believe that it may very well be released

[/quote] Just to clarify I'm in no way predicting that it will be released just stating that it seems more likely today that they may release it than it did yesterday. For reference I said 10% yesterday today I'd probably go up to 35%.

D3 looks perfect on paper. Lower spin, big enough to be forgiving but not too big to help turnover.

Guessing it was a humble exaggeration by Adam. Through 3 round this week, Rory averaging 304, Adam 294... so probably closer to 10 yards in reality.

They can be, but if you watched the tournament this week Drive for Drive on the same holes such as long par 4s and par 5s Rory was typically 305-315 and Adam was 295- 305... Apples to Apples.
