Didn't get my custom order in, those irons are only the stock irons that are for sale on Friday.

Hopefully I get mine in tomorrow. If not, like bd59 said maybe next week I will receive them.

Just talked to Nike, the 2 up pro heads are back ordered. The standard heads are not on back order, for some reason Nike didn't realize that they could just send standard heads and they could be bent. Now I am just hoping for a delivery sometime next week. Pretty bummed....

I hit all irons, but focused on the Pro Combo and Speed.

From first glance the Speed looks chunky, but at address they are not. Even the long irons, there is a bulge in the back cavity area but not that much.

The Combo's are great. The RZN technology cavity works well, I hit one off the toe pretty crappy and still went decent AND fairly straight still.

The volt looks sweet as heck! Don't know why anyone wants to strip the volt swoosh.

Edit: Saw a Pro on the BST. $50 off.

Little Review!

I went to GS and they had the new vapor irons on the shelf. I hit the 3 iron Pro and the 5 iron VPC. WOW, just WOW is all I have to say. Little background I currently have the 14 VR Pro Combos 3-PW and I am almost a scratch golfer. I hit my current 3 iron on avg. around 210 on a consistent bases and my 5 iron on avg. 185-190.

I take the monitors at golfsmith with a grain of salt, I was looking mostly at my carry distance

My avg Swing speed was around 90-92 and ball speed was around 140 give or take.

3 iron Pro: My best total distance on the monitor was 242 yards. But my avg carry distance on the 3 iron when struck pure was around 212-220 yards. Mis-hits were were really bad on distance but they went straight.

My avg SS was around 88-90 and ball speed was 136-138

5 iron VPC: My best 5 iron total distance was about 230 yards, but my avg carry distance was around 195-200 yards and that was on a consistent basis. And I was shocked and thrilled at the same time! I gained 10-15 yards more! than my current setup. Mis hits were not harsh but still had great distance. And feel was tremendous. 100 times better the 14' pro combos. They just felt solid and crisp.

After that I am sold on getting the VPC 3-PW. They did not have a 3iron to hit on the VPC but I can imagine that it will be better than what I have now!

There's a set for sale on the BST right now for $950. They may perform well, but they are really unattractive to my eye. Oh well, different strokes...

Bad news... Stopped in on the way home and they had 6 sets. All Right Hand. I'm a lefty. Out of those six sets of irons they had 3 sets of Pro Combos and 3 sets of Speed. I was pretty dissapointed as I really want to see the pro set although its almost certain that I'm going with the Pro Combo set. The guy at the shop told me to stop in, in a week to see if they have a lefty set.

I may try to hit a golfers warehouse this weekend to see if a lefty set is there.

S300, not sure on sw. Easier to hit than any blades I've tried. For me I hit them as well as apex pro and my swing is off today. Now for 915s

We are going to have a similar bag, look at my sig. I have always favored nike blades to other OEMs. I'm curious if I switch to C-taper what that will do to swing weight. Also, how was the flight of these? Lower or higher flight to comparable blades? It has a D3.5 SW that I really like. Considering 1 deg strong thru 5 iron, then playing a 3 iron so I can keep my 3 TVDs.

To me they fly high I hit them higher than I did the ap2. They're long though so no issues with high

That's one thing that frustrates me a little is if I'm going to spend $1,200 on a set of irons I would like to at least try 3-4 different sets of shafts.

[/quote] nope. i called ahead and asked if they did, was told they did, only to show up and they only have 'on the rack' demos.

i wasn't happy also that there was no masking tape but rather glossy packing tape. i could feel the club however the numbers were INCREDIBLY off. it was registering between 2200-2400 rpms with a 7iron. lol

my ss with my 7i is roughly 95-97mph...no WAY in h*ll is it that low lol it was cool seeing a 210 carry though with a 7i...

Glossy packing tape? That's a bummer for a few reasons. First for the reasons you said, that stuff is way too thick to get any even reasonable data. Second, I can't imagine what that face will look like when you take that tape off.

I've been hearing a ton of good things about the Pros and how a lot of people planned on getting the PCs but they were hitting the Pros better. This is all interesting as I'd color myself a PC guy more than likely. Can't wait to see some more reviews on these.

I just hit a few shots with the 7 iron at my local and they felt really good. I like the leading edge grind on them and the soles seem a little wider than my AP2's.

yea, tell me about it. the plastic was melted to the bottom of the club...and there was tape smashed into the grooves. they said (AFTER) "maybe he should've just hit it without the tape"...so i asked him if i could and he said "well, no, we still can't have marks on the face...we should be able to get the tape off the bottom anyway"

yup. that's exactly what they're doing. they took some acetone on a rag to get the stuff off the bottom, then back to the rack they went. no joke.

I hate where I live. I go into the local DSG and ask about the new Nike Vapor Pro Combos. He gave me a blank stare and said "yeah we got them in". He walks around for 10 minutes in the WOODS section and said "I can't find them". I said "you know they are irons, right" after I did some searching on my own.

Well, in the corner of the section there were the Speeds. I asked him if they had the Pro Combos and gave me another blank stare and said he never heard of them.

Why is it so much to ask that people actually know what product they are selling? That is why I order everything online even without hitting it sometimes.
