I hate Nike golf. I had 3 VR Ltd's over the years, Covert 1.0, VR Pro II, OG VR, VR blades, OG Pro Combos, VR 52 wedge, two 001, and can't forget the SQ fairway which was amazing.

Alright so I will admit I always tried Nike and had an open mind about their equipment. Then the VR Pro combo irons come out and they don't make the damn things in lefty. The only irons they offered were the blades (hated the small grooves) and the cavities which I wouldn't play. I was so damn bitter about this I literally have held a grudge towards Nike. Oh and they make their shoes way to wide now, but I can get over the shoes.

Anyways, today I ordered a Vapor Pro and sold my G30. I feel like I have entered the dark side. I loved my G30 it was very straight and long, but can this driver be a VR Ltd meets Covert? If so I think I will have to give in and get back to some Nike in my bag.

I ordered mine with a S+ 60x so I hope that does the trick. If not i will throw in a different shaft, but thought I would try it.

I can't believe I just bought a Nike driver again!
Proud of you.

Hate to burst your bubble bud,but they did offer the VR pro combos in left-handed. You could even get a 2 iron.

Yeah, but you could still get the VR pro combos in left handed until early last year. There was something available, just not a CB in the 8-P. Very similar clubs. Didn't mean to offend.

Similar but not the same. What I wanted they didn't have. If that was the case I would have gotten them back in 2011. Again sorry I didn't clarify the model of pro combo I wanted. Don't need to turn this thread into something it's not intended for, I am just excited to try the driver thought I would never even bother with

Has anyone tried whiteboard 70g on the pro? I bought mine stock but it's spinning more than kurokage and the rep recommended me to try the whiteboard.
So I actually tried this combo today. I didn't take pictures of the results. It was only 5 balls before I tried the fubuki.

It wasn't the whiteboard but the D+ or S+ either way they had it in the fitting cart. The spin numbers were higher than my PGATSS numbers but my swing wasn't great today. Didn't want to read too much into them, but maybe it was the shafts?

I might do vapor speed 3 wood and just re-shaft it with my current 3 wood shaft on my 2.0.

The vapor speed is HUGE compared to the 2.0.

Probably more forgiving as well?

Finally got a chance to take mine to the range. So far so good. Feels amazing and compared to the 910 D2 that I'm currently playing the Vapor Pro has a more piercing flight (and at 10.5 vs 9.5). I have the tour issued project X (6.0) in the 910 and for me the S+ feels a lot more stable. I'm hoping to get 9 in before work tomorrow and I'll play at least once this weekend so I'll give a full update.

Hit the dome tonight for an hour. Vapor pro irons are getting longer and longer, consistent and accurate. 4 iron carry of 212 yards. I've never hit any 4 iron that far. Unreal for a blade. Vapor Pro Driver is really starting to click. Average of 287 yards tonight with about 15 balls. I still think it feels a little floppy so I'm anxious to see how the x stiff feels when it gets here next week. The vapor line has really helped give me some great distance back in my game. Can't wait till I can play an actual round once this snow is gone.

Here are some numbers for me with the Vapor Pro S+ 60X. This was after hitting a lot of balls at GS. I was disappointed in the Spin although not terrible it's not great. Gonna put the KK Tini 60X for my 2.0 to see how it does. In the Pro. Any other advice on shaft options?

Lesmond, I could never really get into the Nike bags as much as I'd love too! I found the carbon gray and "lime" hoofer at my local golf shop that I'm going to pick up tomorrow with 14 way dividers. The "Lime" looks just like the volt. I just can't get over how much I like Ping bags.

I saw that bag last time I was at Golf Galaxy and the lime looking like the Vapor volt was the first thing I thought of. I have the same bag now but in black/charcoal/red (5 way not 14) and really like it, if I can find one cheap enough I'll def by the same thing again but in lime. Gotta love Ping bags, I haven't found anything near as nice. I'd love to hear how the 14-way model deals with clubs jamming up, but that's for another thread...

I was thinking something more like this.........its the only "volt ish" style color you can get with the 14 way divider!
I used the old adapter, I got lucky. When I was doing my fitting they had a few shafts left over from last year since they hadn't yet received their Nike fitting cart. It is a little heavier, I believe somewhere around 2-3 SW points. Mine came in at a D6 but when we cut the shaft to my playing length it was right at D3. Seems like the only difference between the 2 adapters is the weight.

Ok sweet, I hit it at the range today but not on the monitor. My current shaft length is -.5" from the standard 45.5". I have not weighted it but it felt good. I like the little weight it adds. I got used the 2.0 Tour cause that was way more heavier than the pro!

Im toying with the Fuji Pro Tour Spec 6.3X Shaft as to pull the trigger on it or stick with the KK Tini! So many decisions!!
Toddy, if you feel the shaft lagging too much or have a quick transition, get the D+ 60 X. If you feel the S+ 60 X is adequate, keep playing it! The D+ 60 X is nice but certainly more demanding than the S+ 60 X - both are beautifully stable. I found the S+ 60 S to be unstable..
Good to hear. I agree with you on the S+. I'm gonna give the X a shot and it's good to know about the D+. Is the D+ lower traj
Yes, a little lower and seems to spin less. I don't have concrete data and am comparing between the Vapor Pro and my 915D2 (higher spinning than the VP), and seemed to get similar launch with the VP/S+ 60 X and the 915D2/D+ 60 X.

Anyone speak to the Launch/Spin diff between the s60x and the d60x? Like 1.5* launch and 200 spin?
That's probably about right - the biggest difference I noticed is the tip stiffness. Feels really solid and is surprisingly stiff for a low-mid 60s weight shaft.

I'm actually playing my Vapor Pro with my old KK Tini X from my 2.0. My spin dropped a good 400 rpm from the stock S+ X. I'm averaging 2100 now but I'm also waiting on the my fuji pro 63 TS X to come in then we'll see.
I have that same shaft sitting in my living room ready for the Vapor if needed. I'm in the minority who seems to get along with the S+ but once the Nike tips are available I'll probably test it out. Keep me posted on how that goes

p.s. Would love to get the new Fuji pro with the volt-ish green color. Think that would look sick with the vapor
I'm actually playing my Vapor Pro with my old KK Tini X from my 2.0. My spin dropped a good 400 rpm from the stock S+ X. I'm averaging 2100 now but I'm also waiting on the my fuji pro 63 TS X to come in then we'll see.
The Vapor pro with the Fuji TS is what I was fitted in

Here are some numbers for me with the Vapor Pro S+ 60X. This was after hitting a lot of balls at GS. I was disappointed in the Spin although not terrible it's not great. Gonna put the KK Tini 60X for my 2.0 to see how it does. In the Pro. Any other advice on shaft options?

Those spin numbers were right about what I was getting with the S+ stiff. The D+ 70g brought them down perfectly for me.

Normally bang on 100mph but was around 97 last night in the 2 degree temp

where did you get fit??? supposedly only 8 fitting kits in scotland for the new Vapors...
American Golf at Braid Hills, Edinburgh. Think they just had all the 'standard' shaft offerings in the fitting bag rather than the full range you would get at a performance centre but that was enough for me. I had thought I was going to have to book into Archerfield as they would only have the stock S+ but was pleasantly surprised.

thanks... live in Aberdeen but will keep checking around here... got an American Golf not far from me or may have to visit Edinburgh...

not a fan of heading to Archerfield as want to compare a 915 vs 913(current gamer) vs SLDR 430( own and ready to try) vs the two nike drivers....

D+ 60g took me down about 400/500 and the 70g another 200ish. I ended up between 2100 & 2400 which is exactly what I had hoped for going in to the fitting.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
