Shot Blayne's Cameron in the fall and then he went to the Cameron Studio and had a new one made.

The neck placement on this is closer to the face, more like the Studio Stainless NP2. Fowlers is set further back from the face like Tiger's or DD and the Classic line.

Yeah Scotty really went for the Anser 2 look with the new timeless GSS....except for that thick top line...... Wonder why? Player requests? Keep the weight up? Prefers the look?..... Who knows. I know that I don't care for it........having said that, the rest of the putter is v.nice

Are you being serious? Can't tell. The face milling pattern looks pretty much like a direct rip-off of Byron Morgan's "tuna" milling pattern.

That being said, this is a beautiful putter. But would never pay thousands of dollars for it.

I have to say that I am typically not a Scotty fan, but this one looks very nice. Like the stampings on the face and sole, much cleaner look that the typical Scotty "bling"

That's what I was getting at. I didn't recall seeing that milling pattern on a Cameron before. It stuck out to me.

Clean and simple doesn't sell. Cobra Taylormade, flashy colors and gimmicks .

All the newest GSS Newport 2s have that milling pattern. This headshape is recently new - slight differences to previous Newport 2 headshapes.

Replace the sight line with a dot, and it is PERFECT. They should just take the circle T off of them, and sell them at retail as "retro" Cameron, or "Garageshop". Make them attainable for us mortals. Hell, I don't care how they paint the sole and the inside of the cavity as long as I can't see it at address, and the part I can see is that flat grey.

Personally I really like the new newport 2 head shape. It's like the perfect blend of a classic anser 2 and the modern anser 2. From what I have read the new face milling is kind of in the middle of the deep milled and standard milling which was done based off player feedback and their preferences.

Thanks looks to have a more shallow cavity too. I'd like to see some more with the deeper cavity like Blayne's NP2.

Love the look of this putter. Does anyone know if they sell any of these rare and exotic Camerons at his studio store in the San Diego area? I heard they do. I would assume they are still pretty expensive but I also have heard you can catch a deal? Anyone have any experience with that?

Hard to find a GSS newport for less than $5800 these days.. As far back as 2007 Table Rock was selling them for $5,000....rarely see them anymore...
