Nothing a grinding wheel couldn't do for you! I've considered buying an extra 56 and just fiddling around with the grind for that sole reason (no pun intended)

Just got the KBS black fly pros in, they look pretty sweet. I'm happy with the condition as well, they were described as 'excellent' by Global golf, and other than some wear on the leading edge of the 7/8 irons they look great.

 

The set was 3-PW though, so I am off to find a GW now!

I'd have to try it with one of my old wedges before I did it with a new wedge in case I butchered it.

An original nike blade 1 iron, and a SQ+ driver which as far as I can tell is a non-conforming version from Japan. I haven't hit the driver yet, but I will be sure to bring hearing protection :)

And that's why we all have choices. I started with 50 square, 54 toe sweep and 58 dual. Liked the toe sweep so much in the 54 and not thrilled with the 58 that I got a58 toe and for me it's perfect. Even have new back ups in the garage. :)

Howdy all you fellow Nike guys. I couldn't resist buying the VPC set from swoosh.com when I saw that they were down to $300. I haven't decided to play/pass them over for the Vapor Fly Pros that I already had, but I noticed one thing that I wanted to ask if it was normal:

 

The VPC are all a bit shorter; in some cases up to 1/2" difference. It seems like the 7i VFP is the 6i VPC length.

 

Is this normal?

Pro Combos would be considered "standard" length; Vapor Fly Pro's are plus half inch. Also, the lofts on the Fly Pro's are several degrees stronger through the set compared to the Pro Combos.

Thanks for the explanation! I suppose that may be why I'm seeing some slightly shorter distances with the VPC.

LOL..........kind of a "glass half full or half empty" deal. I'm playing the VFP right now but my baseline yardages are developed from a 46^o PW. So I hit my VFP PW long about 10 yards versus a Pro Combo PW.

Ouch man! I'm really sorry to hear that! Hopefully they can get it replaced but things are starting to get harder to find. Especially the 2 irons.
