Who's got black onyx Dynamic Gold?

Funny, I've had 2 sets of C-Tapers (130X's and Tour Prototypes), take beavertail divots, and have yet to have them bend. Then again mine didn't come in a set of TaylorMades so that could be the reason why.

I'm having 2 brand new Mizuno MP-T5 black ion wedges shafted with the s400 onyx and white ferrules. Thinking this should look rather sweet! Can't wait!!!

I'm gluing up a set of cleveland black pearl 588 rtx's with s400 onyx this evening. Black ferrules, black tour velvet's. Should look pretty sweet. Can post pics once finished.

These are Black Chrome S400, not the Onyx, but it should look pretty close.

I have 3 that I tried out in my wedges. Just didn't work for me. I think I prefer a lighter shaft. Looking to sell them if anyone is interested. Picked them up new for $40 each. Probably looking to sell for $60 for all 3.

I had them in a set of Cleveland RTX black heads and they looked killer with a black Iomic grip.

S400 are the [u][i][b]exact same shaft[/b][/i][/u] as the TI S400. TI is simply weight sorted to .5g instead of 1.5g for a big upcharge. The Onyx just have a coating on them. They look pretty sharp minus the banners on them.

It's not that big of an upcharge, I have them in black SM5's and they are sick.

Not doubting the sickness. I'm down with the sickness myself. Just any kind of upcharge for 3-4 shafts that are already weight sorted (S4 vs TI S4) to be further weight sorted is actually pretty funny. BUT, I'm nobody to tell someone what to do with their cash. Just be educated as to what they really are.

I put the DG Pros in my new Engage Wedges but they are to light I liked the S400 like my old wedges. Wanted to match my iron shafts. But the onyx with the Engage I think would look awesome!

I have them in my wedges. Not much to say about performance other than they keep the ball a little lower supposedly. Been a dynamic gold guy all along so nothing new for me really. I just think they look cool.

Yup, indeed.

 

In the past, however, I think there have been black shafts produced by TT for irons. For example the black steel shafts in the old Cobra Norman Signature Forged semi-cavities like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cobra-Greg-Norman-Signature-Forged-6-Iron-Black-Steel-Shaft-/291471800630 matched up exactly to TT DG S300s when I checked the steps on a set that I handled. Felt the same to swing as well and the weight was spot on. No idea what the coating was on these and not sure that it was particularly durable. However, pick up a set of these in good nick and you might just have some black TT shafts for another set of irons.

I've had the black onyx S400s in my Nike wedges for almost a year now. The finish isn't peeling and only has a couple of very small nicks from where other clubs have bumped them. No signs of bag wear, but I rarely walk. The durability has been a lot better than the old KBS black nickel. Those looked so good but didn't wear well.
