Played a 2 man, 4 club mens league event as a sub with my buddy. Shot 4 under 32. Was a fun event.

42. 6 over on nine holes. I'm pretty stoked about it. I recently purchased a used set of mp32s on the bst that have soft stepped c taper 130x shafts and they are awesome. I've gained about a flu length on each iron with much tighter dispersion over my old s300's. I am surprised too because I've played x100s before and can't hit them to save my life... Feels like I'm swinging a piece of rebar.

 

Anyway I'm more excited than I've been in a long time because I haven't shot in the mid 80s legitimately since high school. Hopefully I only continue to get better. Golf is awesome.

Played a solid round today, tied my lowest round this year. Went 36-40 for a 76. Had a chip in eagle on a Par 5 and three other birdies. My putter failed me a few holes with some dumb 3 putts, but still a great round.

75. 4 birdies. 35 on the front, fell apart a bit on the back nine. Missed 3 putts within 6 ft and burned the edge on 3 other long ones. Happy with the overall round, but I want to shoot par soooo bad. That's a bucket list milestone for me ?

What a difference a day makes somtimes. Shot 76 yesterday and then shot 87 today, same course, tee boxes etc. Once I think I am figuring something out, this game humbles me back down. Still love it though.

I did not expect this round today, was raining through the whole front 9, had a few 3 putts, 5 pars 4 bogeys, in at 39. I bogeyed 10 as the rain stopped and I went to pull my driver on 11 (short par 4), where I normally hit 3 wood, and decided to stick to my game plan grabbed the 3 wood made a nice sand save for par, then dunked back to back birdies on 13 and 14, pared in from there with 13 putts on the back and my best ever (-1) on the back side.

 

My mental game has really improved.

 

oh yeah, now 90 holes straight without a double....

Scraped around and came up with an 85 yesterday, 45 on the front with a couple of doubles that could have been bigger, and some pars that could have been birdies, then had a 40 on the back with 3, 3 putt bogeys, 5 pars and a bogey that probably should have been worse to finish...super happy with how I hit the ball compared to the last few rounds, 35 putts wasn't the greatest but it felt a whole lot better walking off after an 85 than 100 that's for sure...!

Played and won my interclub match (two man rider cup style teams/singles) - had to play off my 12 month low (7.3)...with a current index of 10.3

Shot an 83 with a triple, three doubles and two birdies. Played 7-12 at -1 and we able hang to beat a 3.9 who was only giving four shots.

Shot an 82, first full round after my record 77. Took two 1-stroke penalties and had four 3-putts. Could easily have been another round in the 70's if not for some mental lapses. Was all geared up on one hole with a perfect yardage for me... hit it over the green after hitting it perfectly, wondering what the hell just happened, then I realized I had my friggin' pitching wedge in my hand instead of the gapper. Ugh.

 

I also played 9 at another course in between these rounds and the greens there were so slow in comparison. I was struggling with my pace all day. Finally got it together and rolled in a really nice 15 footer.... on the last hole. ha ha

Shot an 84 yesterday, which is 3 shots off my best round ever, had 2 penalties on the round, I am sure if I didn't have those I would have been able to break 80 for the first time ever, I left 2 bride puts short as well. My short game was on fire yesterday which saved my butt a few times, as my ball striking wasn't the best yesterday.

Shot my best ever today, 91, in our clubs dogfight. 44 on the front and 47 on the back. Put a ball in the water on 2 of the 3 par 5's but still managed to scramble back for bogey both times. Ended up getting 7 over my quota and took first place! Lucky day for my inexperienced high handicap.

78. Bogeyed 17 and 18 coming in. A bit frustrating but happy with my round overall. Finally hitting some half decent drives. Putting was average. Just a few goofy shots leading to bogeys.

85. With a nine on a par 5--second shot hit a tree and went dead right out of bounds. Approach shot bounced over the green into the woods, two shots to get it on green, simple two putt from there. Overall, pretty good ball striking and putting, for me at least.

Had a really nice day out this morning....joined a group of 3 players at a local course....didn't know any of them. They opted to play from the 6500 yd. markers so I did too..... I am 70 years old but still play pretty well.........made 6 birdies and 2 bogeys........... 68.... Not the first time I have shot my age, but the first time since turning 70 in March. :taunt:

WHOO HOO, I shot the best 96 I have ever shot.... EVER......

 

I hit more Fairways than I ever have, More so I have never been so down the fairways ever..... this new swing change is amazing..

 

 

I have to re learn all my distances again as my strongest suite (iron play) was so erratic, I overshot 15 greens due to the new swing.... 10+ yards on each iron.......

 

I did take an 11 on a par 5, but that again was getting used to the new swing......other than that, that was the weirdest 96 as I was happy as hell LOL!

After being super inconsistent in my last handful of rounds. 72, 70, 82, 73, 83 I really put it together yesterday. A few key swing fixes/changes have finally come together and have really made a difference. I squared my shoulders up that were open at address, figured how to flatten out my swing and make it stick and most importantly delaying turning my hands over.

 

I shot an even par 72... 6500, 71.3 121

If a few of the birdie putts that burned the edge would have dropped it would have been a career round. Made three birdies and had a 15 footer for eagle on 18 to shoot under par. Hit 11 greens and the ones I missed I didn't miss by much. 29 putts. 10/14 fairways.

Index is trending down to 2.7. Really looking forward to a city 4 ball tournament later this month (told my partner I've been playing well so I better put my money where my mouth is).

83. A terrible 47 on the front. Could not hit two decent shots back to back. Then everything started to click on the back and shot a 36 (including one tee shot into a hazard).

absolutely horrible!! 4 doubles and a TRIPLE! hitting 33% of GIR doesn't help either. need to make less putts, 36 is too many. need to hit the range.

First round with my Nike Vapor pros, they were spot on. Hit a few iron shots that rang in my loins. Lol

85 today. Struggled a little off the tee and felt it was a scramble/grind all day. Playing again tomorrow, hope to get back in the 70's.
