What Did You Shoot Today? (Continuation)

Wow what an up and down round that was. After breaking 100 for the first time yesterday I shot a 101 today, with a 51 front and 50 back. I was at the exact same total going into 18 as yesterday which I had no idea until after as I was just looking at my back 9 total as being my best heading into 18. I ended up hooking my 1st tee shot into the woods. My second one was straight down the middle starting at 3 of course. It was a par 5 and I had a chance of making the green with a perfect 3 wood so of course I went for it feeling like I needed to make up a stroke. I ended up slicing it nearly in a hazard so I had to hit it out sideways behind trees and just messed up my pitches after that too. I ended up with a quad on 18.

Not a good way to end the round. I had a streak of 5 straight bogeys going into the final whole as well, and during that streak I had made 3 greens in reg. I had 0 pars the entire round and 4 greens in reg total so the 3 putts were killing me. I ended with it eight 3 putts and one 4 putt. What I can take from it though is I hit some of my best approach shots and drives that round. It was such an awesome feeling hitting some of those shots.

Today was a good day. Birdied two of the first three holes to get to -2. Gave one of them back on the 6th after missing an8-footer for par. Ran off five good pars before chunking a lob wedge and making another bogey to go back to even. Then ran off 4 solid pars (three good birdie chances) before birdieing the final two holes to finish 35-35-70 (-2).

9 of 14 fairways. 15 GIR. 31 putts. The only disappointment was mishitting a pair of lob wedges that were really good yardages for me; what should have been two decent birdie opportunities turned into up-and-down opportunities of which I went 1 for 2.

It was very encouraging because I've been tossing 4-5 shots lately. Not today.

39/40-79 yesterday. Pretty good considering my putter slept through most of the round!

Played today, only had three so we played baseball, I'm getting a few strokes from the single digit cappers

They wanted to play the blues, I normally play the whites

Must have made me concentrate more, hit 11 fairways 47-43

With my strokes I won by 3 points on the front, 5 on the back

Hit really good irons most of the day, and putted decent. Length wasn't the problem surprisingly. Flubbed several chips, course was pretty wet, bunker got me a couple times.

3 triples, 2 dbls, 5 bogeys, 8 pars

Strung 3 pars together twice, which is pretty encouraging. Round felt much better than the score.

Finally broke 80 for the first time in my life. Shot 79 with 4 birdies, and 3 double bogeys (two of them on the first two holes I played and another 4 putt on a par 3 i hit on the wrong tier). Thought I had to par the 18th for 79 and ended up with a bogey, but scorecard showed up 79 and I was all smiles. 2nd best news I heard today (was informed in about 9 months I won't have as much time to golf :taunt:)

85. Rubbish start as usual. 13 over after 12. Back to 11 over after 16 and then pushed 4w out of bounds on stroke 1 17th. 3 putt bogey on last. Nice. Sulk.....

93. First time playing the course. Happy with the score considering it was the first time seeing this course. I don't know the last time I had birdie, but now that is not something I have to wonder about anymore. I picked up a bird on a 150 yard par 3, with a nice 8i to about 15 ft and making the left to right putt. The rest of the holes were 3 pars, 9 bogeys, 3 doubles, 1 trip and 1 quad. Putted horribly (39 putts), but was really happy with my iron and hybrid play today, driver and 3w were a different story.

Shot a 44 +8 today. It's the toughest course where I live. That beats my previous low for that course by 2. It has never been an easy course for me so very happy with the swing changes I'm working on. Getting lessons is truly worth it.

First time playing the course.. +11 for 18 holes. Was pretty happy with the score. Drove the ball really well but my irons were so so. Didn't hit too many greens. The irons kept me from the elusive single digit :(

Just shot a 40 on 9 with 4 balls in the water. It was a frustrating day.

The a-holes I played with didn't tell me several times that there was hidden water on the hole and I didn't do my research like k should have. First time playing the course

thats the worst, think you can go for the green in 2, and no indication saying otherwise and there's water by the green

52/48 = 100 on the nose. Finally getting some of my short game to come around, and was able to hit seven 1-putts along with only a single 3-putt all day. Had two extraordinarily bad holes on the front that really hurt, but I pulled it together on the back. Even though I failed to make a single par on the back, I wasn't even in danger of hitting a triple bogey which is pretty fantastic for me.

I played yesterday and shot an 80. 37 on the front and a 43 on the back. The 43 included going triple-double on holes 14 and 15 (two holes I'm not a big fan of). I hit terrible shots into the green that left me in terrible positions around the green.
