82 with a quad on #9 and zero birdies. Last weekend shot 80 on the same course with 5 doubles and made four birdies on the back 9. Golf is definitely a goofy game!

6 over 42. Four pars, four bogeys, one double. Hit the ball terribly. Think I could shoot some decent scores if I could hit the center of clubface on occasion. 2/7 fairways, 0 GIR, 14 putts. Just scraping it around. Time for some lessons again to figure things out!

Shot a 79 on a par 72 in an interclub matchplay. Lost the match by 1. Fair play to the guy as he holed a 6 foot or greater putt on each of the last 4 holes to make a half. Some impressive clutch putting IMO.

Started out with 6 straight pars, best opening this year. Bogeyed last 3 of front for a 39, which is a good start for me. I missed a couple of 3-4 footers. Ugh.

 

Par on 10, then shot an 8 on 11. Hit my second AND third balls into a water hazard. 2 penalty strokes on one hole. Demoralizing. Ended up going 39-46 *vomit*.

 

Index went down again to 11 though. lol

Started off like a dog, pulled my drive on 1, hit a 7 iron left of the green and failed to get up and down. Bogey +1

Hole 2 smother hook driver off tee, pull a 5 iron from 185 to the left of the green, get up and down Par +1

Hole 3 another smother hook off the tee, hit the trees and have 191 to the green, 3 hybrid to 12 foot Par +1

Hole 4 7 iron off the tee high and left, short of the green, failed to get up and down Bogey +2

Hole 5 Pull the crap out of my driver leaving me 185 to the green, 4 iron to 18 foot Par +2

Hole 6 7 iron pin high 18 foot from the pin Par +2

Hole 7 Thin a 3 hybrid off the tee, 131 to the back of the green, hit a 9 iron over the green failed to get up and down Bogey +3

Hole 8 Try to cut a par 5 dogleg, punch out of the trees to 72 yds to the hole, wedge to 4 foot Birdie +2

Hole 9 Driver into a fairway bunker, 50 degree wedge 110 yds over the water and the green, chip back and make putt Par +2 Score 37 on the front

 

Hole 10 FINALLY hit a driver, 9 iron to 12 foot and can the putt Birdie -1 Total +1

Hole 11 SKY ball to the bunker, 7 iron out of the bunker to 12 foot Par -1 +1

Hole 12 Good drive, hit a lazy 3 hybrid as an up shot, 143 to a back pin and flush an 8 iron over the green no up and down Bogey - +2

Hole 13 7 iron from 160 to 6 foot and make the putt. Birdie -1 +1

Hole 14 good drive, crap second shot, stuck the landing on my wedge from 110 yds to 2 foot from the hole Birdie -2 -

Hole 15 cart path only and hit a nice hook that keeps close to the path, wedge to 8 foot miss the bird par -2 -

Hole 16 shot of the day, pull my 5 iron to the left and into the woods, from no where get up and down to save a Par -2 -

Hole 17 short par 4, great driver, do a punch and run to 20 feet to the pin, two putt Par -2 -

Hole 18 short par 5, push a well hit driver, hit a 6 iron back into play, punch 8 iron to 3 foot, bump and run shot Birdie -3 Shot 34 on the back -1 for the day

 

 

Day started off like crap but the shots turned out and the round developed into a pretty great round.

Shot my PB 73 a week and a half ago. First time in the 70s this year and thought it was a fluke kind of day. Played last Friday (warm up) and Saturday (scramble) with ok results. Then made it back out this morning at a course I haven't played for a year. Shot a +5 76, which included a three putt double on a par 5. One of the best rounds I've ever shot but I didn't feel like I played particularly well the entire time. Seemed like I was struggling all day but still came out with a good score. I'll take it. Mostly glad to see that the 73 wasn't a fluke since I could follow it up with another good one.

Missed my alarm so literally ran onto the first tee, I usually have at least 45 mins before teeing off.

 

+4 through 5, lost the front side money, played the last 13 in -3 to, took the back side money and halved the game.

decided to quit on the sixth hole of play #15 ("The Downhill") at South Forbes. was already 8-over by the end of that hole, played a bit better and finished 11-over 45 on what was going to be the FRONT NINE of my whole 18...

 

as the caddy said, it was NOT my day. First time at the course and it. is. brutal. Short and tight. Par 67. lost 6 balls by the fourth hole.

tied my personal best from yesterday (73), but 28 putts today, was rolling it. I was 1 under on the first 5, and 1 under on the back (played 6-7-8 @ +4).

 

I don't know what has changed in the last few months, but I have never played this well this consistently. The course is not tough though.

 

One thing I know, since I put the set of MD3's in the bag.... 78-77-76-77-74-75-73-73 the last 4 weekends.

well every day is different. Yesterday5 birds 4 bogeys 9 pars and a 71.

 

Today three over playing the back nine first and shooting 40, front side 7 pars 1 bird and 1 bogey for an even front side or 35 total score 75.

 

Pretty good weekend 2 over for 36 holes.

I played 1 Wilson Staff FG Tour all weekend. Today was really slow play we played holes entirely over or played 2 balls. All told I probably played around 25 holes of golf today. The FG Tour still has life in it, but it's showing some scars. I putt a lot better today, and chipped better. I think I was fatigued on the back 9, it's been hot down here.

terrible off the tee that cost me at least 5 strokes a side due to being out of position. gearing up for our invitational this week. shot 90. partner shot 80. he's playing in the invitational too and likely going to give away strokes. hell still a good fun day regardless of score.

94 on a course I had never played before. 2 pars, 11 bogies, 3 doubles, 2 triples. I usually get more pars but get a couple/few snowmen to go with them. It was nice to avoid the real big blow up holes today. I did better keeping the ball in bounds, but my short game stunk it up a bunch today.

shanked chip shot on 1 that led to a double. 125yrd 2nd shot and two chili-dip chips led to a double. overshot par 3 leads to a TRIPLE!

8 over 80 on a pretty easy 6200-yard course on a windy day. Two 7s and two 2s on the card. Kept hitting putts too far, and misread a few. But maybe my best ballstriking round ever. Just smoking it with the driver, 270 on average, some into a stiff breeze. Dry fairways, but still! Fun.

 

Oh, and I played by myself, had to wait for foursomes ahead of me three or four times, but each promptly waved me through. Finished 18 holes in 2 1/2 hours.
