Crazy Golf,

 

79 Friday, - 2 Birds, 8 pars, 7 bogeys and a double - 8/18 GIR with 32 putts. Decent round but could have shot way better stupid errors but kept the emotions in check

 

86 Sunday - 1 Bird, 10 pars, 3 bogeys........a double.....Dun dun duunnn, 2 triples and a quad LOL....11/18 GIR, 36 putts, 5 penalties, Plus an accidental miss hit penalty on 18... SWEET MOTHER OF......

 

If I could falcon punch myself for the mishit on 18, I have relived the mishit a million times since yesterday thinking, how the hell did I actually hit the ball with my practice swing?.........

walked 27 holes yesterday while carrying clubs on a rolling hills course in tennessee. my fitness tracker said I burned over 2000 calories while walking for 5.5 hours straight.

 

shot 84 on the first 18 and carded a 40 on the last 9.

Played a round with my dad. I'm visiting, usually 1200 miles separate us. Golf wasn't the best, we didn't keep score. We had some awesome shots and it was a really great time.

He's older and played yesterday so he was not fully ready. I drove 19 hours he days before to get here. We were supposed to play tomorrow after we both recovered, but its forecast to thunderstorm so we went today.

It was a nice course I've never played and he hasn't in over 15 years. The Orchards in Washington Township MI

Finally found my putter today and Shot 3 under 69 in a member guest today(as a guest). The course was set up easy par 72 played at only 6200 yards but arill felt great to cArd a low score .

 

Also won a closst to pin on. A 165 yard down hill par 3 i hit it ro 3 feet 9 inches and rhat was good enough .

 

Round consisted of 5 birdies 2 bogeys

11/14 fairways

11 /18. Greens

A Round in the 60's on any course over 6000 yards always feels good, regardless of the length or format or anything else. Way to go!

Yesterday was my 4th round this year. I usually play about 25, but this hasn't been a good year on many fronts.

 

I shot 96, with 31 putts.

Got rained on, sweat my balls off, cleaned a ton of mud off of everything.

Broke my streak of rounds in the 80's with a 78. But continued my streak of making at least one double bogey every single round this year (20+ rounds) ... Only had one today though! :)

84 from the tournament tees at Gamble Sands (6991 yards, 73.4/126 rating).. Couldn't read a putt until the very last one of the day...finally a birdie!

 

I don't think I've had a round without a double bogey in two years. And that's with quite a few sub-80 rounds, including a few 76s.

34-37 on a 35-36, 6543 yds, CR 71.2, slope 130.

 

8 pars and one birdie on front (hit first 8 greens and got up and down on 9, then birdied 10 and 11 (11 was chip-in) to get to -3, then made a double, two bogeys a birdie and three pars (two sandies).

 

Felt like Judge Smails, except that I hit exactly one good drive (#18 - the game always keeps you coming back).

 

Four birdies also tied PB as did three of them on one side.

 

That is so far over my usual (I'm a 7.8 only by virtue of the fact that 1 in 4 rounds are enough to keep it there) I got this message when posting...

Even par 70 today on my home course and the putter was cold as ice feom outside 8 feet. Best ball striking round of year. Even worked a couple irons left to right nicely wen Needed. (Fading ball is my weakest prt of game play a high natural draw)

 

And i had one bogey whwew i dont feel i hit a nad shot

Piped a deive 275 down middle . Hit a great 9 iron that landed 5 feet past pin and took off like it landed on concerete. Or course the ball rolled right up against where feinge meets rough. Bladed a wedge almost in but it trickled 5 feet buy then i powwe lipped out my par putt

First game in over a year - only ever played once a year really - bought some new clubs as i've retired from rugby so Golf will be the hobby.

 

so first round towards the handicap 94 - front nine 47 and the same on the back. So that 23 over par on this course.

 

hitting straighter than I can remember due to a week on the range, but short game was decidely average - keen to get back out and finish the next to rounds to have a handicap to work on.

Fired a 91 from the blues today (about 6900 total). While the total isn't something I'm thrilled with, the fact that I went 41 on the back with missed opportunities to make that a 39 feels pretty good.
