There's a reason I've been using #winterlol on the 'gram this year. So sweet. Forecast for us went from a trace to 1-2 back to a trace. Sure enough, just rain. Not sure what it looks like for my friends in the North.

 

Went out to the range last night and sure enough, I have no idea where my case of the lefts came from. No lefts. I really wish I knew what happened so when it happens again I can fix it. Back started to get sore though so I didn't hang around for too long.

 

One nice thing - maybe the only nice thing - about having a real winter is getting a week or two of rest every now and then.

7 is great. Do you have two different types of wedges Kent?

 

Ive got 6.

 

Domes I am carrying 4 wedges these days. It depends on where I am playing if all are in the bag at the same time. 52* & 60* are Titleist. I am using your 54* which I have come to like a lot. The pitching wedge is the Callaway CF-16.

The rest of the bag will be:

Cobra Bio-Cell Dr

JPX900 3W

Nicket 2 Hyd

Ping 4 Hyd

5 thru W Callaway CF-16

Siemore Putter 303

 

That Nicket has been in the bag for a least 10 years how. The 54* W is absolutely great on long greenside bunker shots. Easy to get the ball out of the sand so the 60* sometimes is left out of the bag.

Here is a big hint on snow. It has worked for me over the last 44 years every time but once. If the temperature in Richmond is 39 or above at 6pm on the day/night of the proposed snow storm it will never snow in DC or Balto. The storm will get pushed west and north of the mountains every time. Believe me I have lived by this for a long time as it was told to me by an old superintendent. This has saved my Word not allowed many times on making calls in the construction business over the years.

No snow. But when you have 1000 yds of concrete to place you have to make a call the night before. That is how I have done it for a long time. It gets expense if you are wrong and all these people show up and you have to pay show up time. I knew I was going to hear all kinds of BS about this post and get lots meme's.

Kent -- there's a movie called Locke.

Golfer's tend to be acutely aware of local weather conditions. I can look at a radar map of Western Pennsylvania and figure out if it's going to be raining at Pine Ridge in two hours.

 

I just never thought to look at the temperature in Richmond at 6 PM the night before, but I'm adding it to my toolbox.
