We have me, Halcyan, Kent and MeatMike at Pine Ridge tomorrow.

 

I think that Halcyan and I are going to play 9-hole matches against Kent for the the season long match play, so stay tuned.

 

I'm giving Kent .5 stroke for 9. I think Halcyan is giving him 2.

 

No games set up in advance, but I'm playing Northwest with PQ, Freezy, and Boogs tomorrow morning.

Opening Day at Piedmont Golf Club tomorrow. F the rain. MGA scramble. They put together a good roster of events throughout the year so I'm excited to get it going.

 

Until people start dropping out of the morning group on Sunday, I'm playing. Looks like it will be pretty miserable.

I think it took about the same amount of time for DT to go from 3 tee back to ~250 yards out on hole 2 at hobbits, grab his laser, and get back to the tee as it took for JJ and I to hit tee shots.

I thought House sounded funny, but I upped my pod-speed to 1.3x from 1.2x, AND I figured that he was probably using different recording equipment with the new pod, so I didn't think much of it.

 

Anyway. . .this might be of interest to a bunch of you. . .there's a podcast called "This is Criminal" that generally has true-crime stories, but sometimes is just tangentially related to crime. This week's episode is called Pappy and it's all about Pappy van Winkle and the secondary market, and some of the crimes that have been associated with it. Pretty good listen. Only about 20 minutes. I think there's 1:30 of commercials at the beginning if you're looking to skip.

 

Why do you increase the speed of your playback? It seems like that would ruin the "feel" of them. Who wants to rush through a podcast?

 

For context I listen to podcasts when I drive ... And I drive a lot. Today is Columbia to DC (already here too early) to Dulles to Haymarket back to MD. It helps me relax.

 

So, one of my pods is a daily, and very topical, so I try to keep close to "live" as possible. At the same time, on Tuesday and Wednesday I am listening to golf pods as I try and set my Draftkings lineup. I'm not in the car for more than 70 mins total/day, so I often run at 1.5x to keep up or catch up.

 

Hey, it was nice to meet you on Wednesday. Sorry it was so quick. I stepped out of a meeting to come down and was trying to keep my absence discrete.

btw i listened to the whole 1 hour 30 minutes of that pat mayo draft kings masters podcast driving around today ... i don't play draft kings. i'm in a big one and done league and i already know who i'm taking. can't turn down masters talk though...

Played 36 at Rattlewood today. We were first off at 730 and finished before 1. played blues on the first round and whites for the 2nd. Working on my set up today and it felt pretty good. Lots of good shots. 81 from the blues and 79 from the whites

We're an hour into the round when he breaks this out.
