I am tempted to get a Flex 440 after trying it on a monitor. I think the whiteboard is the best match for that head for some reason. I have a King Pro now and hit it against a Flex 440 with WB and they were neck and neck for me. Only issues i had was i couldnt find a wrench to adjust the nike as it was set to 8.5 and i usually play 9.5. I love dropping in here and seeing another Bay Area member dropping the good knowledge on the forum.

The SZ is really really good if you like to work the ball. Have to say the 460 intrigues me but I don't want to lose the ability to hit draws and fades. Time will tell

I just want it to go as straight as possible. So it sounds right up my alley. :)

So just a little recap on the TPI stuff I've been doing. Well long story short changing my routine in the gym and focusing on TPI stuff has lowered my swing speed dramatically. I am getting readings of 105-110mph on my radar. When I was doing my basic squats, DL, bench and speed work I was getting readings above 115 some days over 120mph. So I'm dumping my TPI instructor and just going back to what has worked for me in the past. I will incorporate stretching and core work from TPI. All the other stuff just seems a waste of time with no real benefit to adding speed or strength. I had dropped 2 days of lifting for 2 days of TPI and going to go back to 4 days of lifting.

 

Really excited to go back to the Oven and meet some of the WRXers in person. I have an idea of what I want on my wedges. And excited to see the one off Origins that has been made. Looking forward to seeing what Dave Stockton has to say about my putting stroke as well too. Should be fun. Hopefully the weather holds up.

 

Bag changes. Nothing exciting. LTD PRO is in the bag and I'm testing an M2 with HZRDUS 65. Also might dump the hybrid for a 3 iron with a hybrid shaft.

What kind of speed work do you do?

 

I was doing WestSide Barbell. Two days lifting in lower rep ranges. The other two are higher reps and speed work like box squats with 50% of 1 rep max 8 sets of 2 with about 30 seconds of rest. Also speed bench same concept but 6x3. Focusing on bar speed as fast as possible. Then golf...over speed and underspeed training with a weighted shaft, 5 iron and shaft with no head. So a combination of things not one set way.

These balls are the Tour Dot Platinums. Said to spin on average a few hundred rpm more. Incredibly soft feeling. Cover probably isn't as durable. Hopefully I will be able to get out Friday and see if I like them.

These balls are the Tour Dot Platinums. Said to spin on average a few hundred rpm more. Incredibly soft feeling. Cover probably isn't as durable. Hopefully I will be able to get out Friday and see if I like them.

 

I am seriously looking at those shoes, the only issue is I already own 4 pairs of golf shoes. Oh well, one more can't hurt. :)

Well...Goodbye Cobra, hello M2. I went back to the M2 after finding a pretty decent deal on BST and I slapped a HZRDUS 6.5 65 in it. The Cobra is on BST. The ball flight is not what I was expecting with the LTD PRO. It launched lower than expected in the 9.5F position. I was launching the LTD at 9* higher than the 9.5F LTD PRO. If they could make the LTD with a fade setting I wouldn't have made the switch. The LTD PRO launched similar to the 9.5M2 I had with the GD Tour AD GP. Great for courses with a ton of roll, but here in Northern California we don't have that luxury. Its mostly carry for me. I have always launched drivers on the low side, so unfortunately it didn't work out for me. Still not sold on the HZRDUS for the m2 either. I have my eye on a couple mid spin higher launching shafts. On a side note, 2 more days until my Oven visit! I can't wait to see some of the 1 off Origin putters.

Exactly! It's pretty draw biased already, why even have a draw option? Would have been the perfect driver for me if it was an option. But this is golfwrx we are never happy lol

I like the head, not in love with the shaft. I could slap a Tour AD di in it but I hit the Vapor Fly Pro 4 iron so good I am thinking Vapor Fly Pro 3 iron with hybrid shaft. It's on BST but I'm the end I might just keep it. Just being a ho lol
