Im in the minority but I like the bigger clubhead of the SM5s. They look exactly like my Ping Tour Gorges at address.

About time Vokey is offering a straight Raw finish again

 

Someone correct me if I'may wrong. Are you suggesting that there is a straight "raw" finish option on the SM6?

 

Because there isn't....thus far.

 

Looked Raw in the pics to me, it's chrome though?

 

For the pros there is. ;)

 

But, I heard only chrome and some kind of Black Oxide (which will lose its finish over time), but even those feel different then a "raw" wedge.

 

Possibly one other finish I can't remember right now. (Gold? Nickel?)

 

EDIT: FINISHES ARE RAW BLACK, STEEL GREY, AND TOUR CHROME.

 

Is this info on the finish; definitely correct ?

 

What is "steel grey".............is it a plated finish that's darker than the satin type Tour Chrome ?

Obviously some of the pros are using them right now. Jordan's got them in the bag. Might as well wait until early spring when they come out. They look great though.

These are definitely fake. The coloring is wrong, some of the lines are larger and the detailing is not that good. Lots of fake on ebay uk

Looks like an M grind now on the 62* instead of the T grind on the SM5.

 

That's too bad, I'm a big T grind fan and have never like the M in the other lofts I've tried.

Just remember I got the info from the USGA. It is very posible that because there are so many variations that they are still SM6s that are being reviewed. I mean it just seems odd the steel grey and K grinds are not listed.

I just received my 58 K grind and 54 M grind. The 60 L grind had not enough bounce for me so will see how these 2 performs this weekend.

I've always have looked at the 58 K grind as basically being an F grind.

 

The S is close too but not the same - I want a mid to high bounce mid to narrow sole 58

New price in UK will be £99 a club. Or £20 a club more than SM4. Which is extortionate for a plain old DG shaft, Tour Velvet and a mass produced cast head. Absolutely no need for these kind of price rises when tech is exactly the same.
