It's a new finish called Jet Black, however looks the same as last year's finish. It might be a little deeper black than last year's finish but not much. The important factor is the finish will be easier to remove than the plated ones.

Love the look of these wedges...I'm a wedge hoe from way back, can't have enough of them. I haven't seen a spec sheet yet, but they have what is described as loft-dependent weight scheme.

There are "weight pads" that are located midwedge area to lower the CG on the lower-lofted wedges and located more towards the toe and top line to raise the CG on the higher-lofted wedges.

Isn't getting their black ox finish, give it the same feel as a raw wedge? Also wouldn't giving it a Coke bath make it completely "raw" too? Or is there a huge difference in feel between black ox and raw?

I used to take the finish off the oil can finish with naval jelly. They looked great and felt great.

I did not have as much luck with the black oxide finish. Difficult to remove, and once completed the best way to describe the feel was "brittle". Did not like them at all, and went back to chrome finish.

Pics have hit the conforming groove list on the USGA's website. F and K grinds look great. At the moment, it looks like the K grinds will not be offered in steel grey. Hopefully this changes. Also, it appears that the M and S grinds, at least from the pictures submitted to the USGA, will not have the weight pad. I think that this will really only be the case on the 54 and 56° M and S grinds though.

As iron sets get incrementally stronger, I wonder if there is any possibility that Vokey might do a 44 degree wedge? Isn't the P in the MOTO T-MB set a 44-degree loft? I'm really thinking about a set of T-MB's that goes 3 to 9 iron, with a set of three Vokey wedges below that. Something like 44/45, 52/51, 58.

I do dearly love the look of the SM6 48/08 F grind that is clearly bent to 47 and has the loft stamp on the back! I'd probably do the same with a 46.

I've seen a small handful of Vokey 44's over the years that I presume were tour-issue/custom clubs.

I'm not calling you a liar but I've never ever seen a tour Vokey lower than 46*. If true if love to see one but I'm not sure they exist.

Can someone Cliff's Notes the finishes that will be available on the SM6's? I thought I saw a grey, black, and chrome finish. Any better descriptions of these finishes? Will any finishes be able to be stripped to raw (a la black oxide/ oil can)? Sorry if this has already been covered, I don't have time to read back through 9 pages at the moment.

I've got couple buddies playing the SM5's currently. I've done a few different Google searches over the last bunch of weeks for SM6 pics at address and they seem to have quite a bit of less offset. Well according to google images that is, but again they were address pics so it could honestly not be a SM6 at all. Can anyone comment on the offset? Does ir have less, the same or more?

This will determine whether I buy a new sm6 54 when they hit. Size. Please make them the smaller sm4 and 200 series size. This damn sm5 looks like a g30 next to my set pw

I love the description that he's using too. They certainly aren't prototypes. they may possibly be tour issue but most likely are retail clubs he got early from a rep and now hes trying to pass them off as such
