Your Current Driver and Why?

Bridgestone J715 10.5 with Fujikura Pro 73

Why? Was playing the R15 but this J715 is just the most consistent driver I have hit in a long time and I am hitting as long as anything I have tried in the last few years. My launch and spin are better with this driver / shaft combo. Just having a great time with this club right now.

Cobra Fly z + with tour green stiff

Very accurate and forgiving. I'm surprised how much I like this club as I've never been a cobra guy.

Cally 9.5 Razr Fit Xtreme - Fitted for it and love it and no reason to give it up. Matching 3 and 5 wood as well

Just bought a X2 Hot Pro 8.5 to go with the other X2 Hot 3w and 5w to match as well so will be interesting to see which ones ed up in the bag.
I love my RFE.
Have you tried XR driver?

It gave the RFE run for its money.
Same absolutely love it! Only got the X2 hot because of matching the Woods I had from another purchase and CPO has the warehouse sale on at the moment. Will be interesting to see if it kicks the RFX set out of the bag or not. Haven't given them a good run yet.

XR is a pipe dream until the come down in price. Here in Aus they are wayyyyy to expensive for us to purchase off the rack (~$450 AUD and thats at its cheapest) for most punters so I just wait for 2nd hand ones to come up.

In the meantime I stay away from new until I can afford it otherwise I end up cursing cause I cant buy one. lol.
I feel your pain mate im in tasmania basically have to wait 6-12 months for prices on ebay to get low especially with the postage costs
It was great when the $ was at parity because you could order from the US and with Shipping costs was still wayyyyy cheaper than buying here.

CPO was my friend then and still is to a degree now...

FG Tour M3, usually set at 8.5*, PhenomNL 60 S.

I bought it for the shaft, but when I hit it I found something really special. This is the driver I am comparing everything else to. I put about 5-6 grams of cotton in the head and she is a sledgehammer. I have a few that can come close in distance, and only the L4V is straighter - and not by much.

Callaway Optiforce 440 with the stock Project X PXv @ 44 inches. I got it cause it was on the 2nd hand rack at a great price and I had been wanting to try a shorter shaft in a driver, this thing is a fairway finding cannon.

Currently have a Power Play Warp Speed 440cc 10.5* Apollo Shadow R+ 75g shaft.

May be trying Acer XS Leggera 9.5* with BiMatrix Prototype S 65g shaft.
Why do you play the cheaper off-brand stuff? It has been proven that they are GENERALLY inferior to the typical, large OEMs. If it is about price, couldn't you just buy used or prior generation stuff?

915 d2, first I got better numbers than other drivers tested, second it's good for two years or more, and won't find on a sale rack 3 months later and feel as I'm playing with an OEM's old technology or inferior equipment as I see people still playing 910/913's and loving them. Love companies that make a great product, and cycle is longer than a few weeks before they decide they have a new driver that can gain you 15 yds.

Callaway X-Hot Pro 9.5 with Project X 6.0, cut down 1"
I bought it used for $70.00. Didn't want to spend the money for a new driver.

I hit it on trackman compared to my Ping K15, Ping Regular flex tipped 3/4". Lowered my spin from 5500 rpm to 2890 rpm. I could hit the Ping k15 anywhere from 205 to 230 with no roll out, carry depending on strike. Really could spin that sucker, high to the moon.

Carry on Callaway X-Hot Pro was consistent 237-240 with triple the roll out, even on not so hot strikes.

I struggle with generating spin so the BB head with the Fubuki shaft gets me the combo I need. I am more impressed with the shaft than I am the head. I had a RFE before that and the ball seemed to have more POP off the face. I am not seeing a difference in distance but I miss that "Home run" feeling when hitting it off the screws.

[s]9* (set to 9.6*) PING G30 LS Tec with Ping Tour 65 Stiff [/s] NIKE VAPOR PRO (set to 10.5*N) with stock Diamana S+ 60 Stiff.
I felt like I really had to work to hit the Ping Tour 65 S shaft, but I got the same launch angle and spin (not EXACT same but very, very close), however I got on average 2 to 3 more mph ball speed with the NIke, and I don't feel like I have to work so hard at it.
Keep in mind I am 57 yrs old, driver swing speed 100-104.

Still playing my SLDR 430 TP that I was fit into from the TM SLDR challenge. Playing it in 10.5 loft, 45" with a DI-6 stiff untipped shaft. Lowest spin, most roll out with good launch and ball speed. Not the most forgiving but it's working.

Considered trying a 815 DBD for the better forgiveness and better sound but the spin is about 1k higher than the SLDR for some reason.

Taylormade R9 Supertri with Matrix Radix HD6. Like others I have hit every new driver that comes along, but nothing works better for me. Not the longest driver I have hit, but I can hit it straight and move it both ways most of the time. Best club in my bag!

Nike Vapor Speed set to 9.5 neutral with the Fubuki stiff. Went to demo day looking for a new hybrid, walked out with this...and an XR pro hybrid. Hit the Vapor Pro with the Diamana Blue but was hitting low hooks. The Nike rep says I know what you need, grabs the Speed and adjusts the loft. Bombs after bombs. Walked into the pro shop and bought it, took it out to the rep and had him set it. Haven't hit any club as well as this one. 423 yard par 4 at a tournament on Tuesday, Driver-gap wedge. Don't worry, I saved par.

I couldn't hit the red Nike drivers at all, but I highly recommend you try this one. Came from a G25 that was gamed for about a year. This one is very straight and consistent.
