Speaking of wedges...anyone know when Nike plans to release wedges to replace the Engages?

its true. They do perform pretty well, just not a fan of the looks. I have the vr forged wedges right now but I think the grooves are getting worn down. Looking to replace them sometime this year.

I wasn't a fan of the Engage's (aesthetically) but they do perform exceptionally well. I still have the VR forged in my 50 and 56 but the grooves in my 56 are just about done. :( A new Engage 56° DS is being ordered. Alot people complain about excess rusting but my 60° Engage looks sweet after 6 months and alot of wet weather. I just keep it wiped down. I like both styles but trending towards the Engage wedges these days.

How does the feel compare between the 2? I know Tiger still has the VR Forged, but probably just because he likes the looks better.

I think that the Engages might be just a tad firmer in feel (and heavier IMO). That being said, they look good and I prefer the grooves in my 60° Engage. I teeter back and forth between getting a new Engage or a fresh 56° VR forged every other day. LOL. Need to make a decision shortly as golf season is ready to roll in earnest next weekend as our April in Ohio is about to take a turn for the better (hopefully). The Engage DS is hard to find on eBay so I'll either have to pay "full price" or take a different tact and head towards the VR Pro. I've still got more shoes (Chukkas and Zoom Attacks) and the CounterFlex Origin to slide by the wifey. I've been lucky that she hasn't seen a majority of the shirts/pants that have been coming to the casa as of late :) Best of luck with your decision

Oh my if they come out with some sweet blades this fall I could be in trouble. I like the vapor pros but classic style MB is hard to beat

Heard from my local Nike rep that the plan is to "replace" the blades and the pro combos this fall/winter. Not sure about the Vapor Flys.

They are for me too. I narrowed down my choices to the AP2 or the Vapor Pro Combos last year. Went with the VPCs because they look and felt better to me. Numbers were very similar.

That is true. Players irons are being replaced this year. The gi ish irons will be around this year and next. Nike offsets their releases so that a new iron comes out every year just different categories. My only question is will they go with a traditional blade or stick with the MM template.

I think they're gonna stick to the MM design. Mainly cosmetic changes

Vapor PC and Pro (forged irons) replaced in fall/winter. fly and fly pro irons = 2 yr life cycle
