Steve Flesch is adamantly against anchoring and it looked like he was doing that at the Barracuda on Sunday. I called him out in a tweet and he tweeted back that while it did slightly touch his shirt, it wasn't anchored. Tough one to call and really up to the player.

Adam is obviously lost. I guess the smaller driver head argument could work or the anchored broom stick but the iancient irons/ wedges from so many years ago is baffling. I just don't understand why he thinks the 680's would help his game when the newer tech on MB would only help his game just as the broom did.

you do realise that the 716MBs are very similar in design to the 680s.... blades are blades... my Scratch SB1s are very similar to Mizuno Mp33s...

From what I could see on TV it looked like it said D3 in his follow through but I'm not certain.

He likes them - that's why he uses them. Likes the way they set up and he's been using weak lofts to hit the ball higher with more spin. He had used the ProV1 until this year because of the added spin.

It's a blade, and he plays blades. Not a lot of tech there. To say that another blade would help his game - when he is already one of the best ball-strikers on tour...not exactly sure where you're coming from.

Here's an idea. Learn to putt with a short putter like everyone else. I'm sure if ya need help Stockton, Stricker, or someone would be glad to help. I don't understand how someone can swing a club so perfectly back behind their head, but can't manage to swing a putter under their nose.

Exactly. He doesn't have to become Jordan Spieth, just average and he will be hard to beat. He needs to spend the entire winter on a putting green with a short putter.

If Adam spent that much time with Stockton this off season, I wouldn't feel bold saying he could 5 times next year.

If he spend 8 Hours at $600 with him X 30 days a month X 4 months that's $576,000 (Correct me if I'm wrong). He'll make that back in the next tournament he plays. It's just really how bad does he want it. Money and resources are no object for him. He's a stud if he can just roll the rock!!

Didn't he just have a kid? I think that might have something to do with it. Adam is one of my favorites and I hope he can turn it around next season or maybe play good through the playoffs. Regarding the putter I think eventually he will go to a short one, I know he says he's just not going to anchor the long one next season but I think that would be harder to keep steady and lead to worse putting than a conventional putter.

Recently married...recently had a kid...and yes he did play poorly in a few tournaments, but he also did okay in one with a short putter.

So - it might not be as bad as people make it out to be.

I thought the whole point of the anchored stoke was to help stability. If he can't putt with the long putter with it anchored how is he going to putt with it not anchored?

That's golf season in Australia where he always plays, especially the PGA Championship that is in Gold Coast, his home city.
